I didn't want to throw away a perfectly working camcorder, just because the battery was getting worn out, so I took a trip down to my local Jessops, in hope of finding a new one. Unfortunately for me, they didn't actually have one in stock at that time. So my friendly sales assistant suggested that I tried their website. When I asked about the price, to be honest I was rather shocked. They quoted me £45.99 - I really could not believe it. To ask me to pay that price for just a simple battery, I was almost insulted. I thought that they were having a joke at my expense. So I slunk out of the shop, with my tail between my legs, seriously considering buying a cheaper, less effective copy-cat product. In the end I settled for the real McCoy. This was actually really user friendly, and very easy to fit. I decided that if I was going to spend my hard earned cash on a replacement battery, then I might as well invest in something that would last. I ended up purchasing one from the Jessops website, for £45.99 plus delivery, which I thought was ridicules. But never mind. I know that I am giving you my opinion on the product here. But - It might be worth mentioning that when it comes to taking your money, Jessops do that with no problem. When it comes to delivering your product, they seem to take ages. It took over 4 days for it to arrive. Maybe it was Royal Mail? I couldn't really fault this product at all, except for when it comes to value-for-money. It did seem a bit steep. You don't get much for your money! Now I am sure that in time to come, I can always ensure that I capture all those happy events - without worrying whether my battery is going to die on me!

This battery came with my Canon camera. It's good, it gives the camera enough power for a while. It's a bit expensive though when you have to buy it seperately. There are much cheaper compatible batteries on the market (half price or even less!) that are of very good quality. They might not give enough power as the original canon, but with such a difference in price, who cares? ...

Advantages: Value for money & most other things ! Disadvantages: Lens kit not as flexible, viewfinder not good for left-eyers
be accessed via the centre set of buttons. Which makes the job of navigating and finding the right exposures and settings in that split second to take that one picture much much easier.
However, the viewfinder, just as the previous 350D model, isn't quite suited for those left-eyers when it comes up to looking through the viewfinder.

The EOS 400D uses a CanonNB-2LHlithium-ion rechargeable battery. This battery is smaller in size compared to other digiSLRS, but the life of the battery hasn't been scrutinised because of it. Which is good, as it overall does make the camera quite a bit lighter.
