Advantages Advantages Cheap printer and quality is outstanding.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Ink maybe a bit pricey in the shops. Doesn't look very stylish

I brought this printer from Ebay as a replacement for a broken Epson D78. In total it cost £11 for : -the printer brand new in box - with the two ink cartridges - power lead - sample photo paper - and software Please be aware that it does not come with the USB cable needed to actually connect it to your computer or laptop. I was very surprised at the print quality it offered for it's price. Therefore I can reccommend this to anyone with a low budget or needs an urgent replacement. I'd suggest to buy it off Ebay but always check with the seller that it comes with the two ink cartridges. - Black ... more

Advantages Advantages Cheap, fast, good quality

Disadvantages Disadvantages Ink is a little expensive compared to other printers

This printer was bought for 340 RMB (equivalent to 24 pounds) in 2006. My husband and I were searching for jobs at the time, and we needed a cheap, reliable, good quality (black and white), printer to print out CVs and job information. We went to a few retailers, and looked at Epson branded printers, HP and also other Canon printers. There were a number of different models in the same kind of price range, but in the end the choice was either between an HP, or a Canon. Originally we settled on an HP printer (I have forgotten which model now!) as we both had good experiences with them in the ... more

    Advantages Advantages Speed, Colour Quality

Disadvantages Disadvantages Noise, expensive to replace the Cartridges

The Canon Pixma iP600 is a fantastic printer but it does have a few downsides. WARNING - it doesnt come equipped with the usb printer cable required and the software accompaning it is not great. The picture quality is excellent, as good as any photos printed in a photo lab. I would advise to use the Canon Photo paper as its not suited to just any photo printing paper. I had first used the sample pack of photo paper which was excelllent. I then tried out other photo paper which I had for another printer and it wasnt suited at all so just keep that in mind. The printing speed of this printer is ... more

Advantages Advantages great quality, new print heads each time, borderless printing

Disadvantages Disadvantages cartridges are patented and expensive -cant just get compatable ones

This is a cracking little printer! i looks good, the drivers and software make it really easy to get exactly what you want. REALLY fast printing and you get pretty good pages per minute rate even on colour. This would be great for a student who needs to print of a lot of stuff fast! I do law - and a 30 page case takes less than 3 minutes on draft! It does borderless photo printing and the results are just as good as my camera's 3layer cartridge specialist printer. The main draw back is the cartridges. they cost about £14 for the Black and £14-18 for the colour. Also, they are patented, so for ... more

Advantages Advantages Good quality printing in colour, fantastic photo printing

    Disadvantages Disadvantages expensive ink

The Canon Pixma IP1600 looked like a really good deal at first sight, it was the cheapest printer in the shop at only £20 and came with free ink and sample photo paper. I soon realised that it wasn't as good a deal as it had seemed, when I got home it became apparent that there was no cable to connect it to the computer, so I would warn any one buying a printer to check that its included rather than having to make two trips to go and buy one later. My overall experience with the Canon Pixma has been good however there has been one downside which I will come to in a moment, here's my overall ... more
