Alrite everyone!! They don't give yah much space so I'll keep it short. I'm 20 from Bradford, UK. I reckon my biggest interest is music of pretty much any type, and meeting new people. So feel free to drop by and say alrite sometime.

I had no idea printers these days had the ability to print as fast as this one does, until there was an IP3000 bought for Christmas. It seriously feels like as soon as you put the paper in, the printer has done its job and spat it out again! Fantastic!
I have noticed there is a higher model of this called the IP4000 which can print slightly faster. But if you ask me, an extra £30 purely to save an extra couple of seconds on print isn't worth it.
Heres why this printer is an amazing contraption:
^^^^ Features ^^^^
I suppose the most noticable function the IP3000 can perform is printing direct onto a CD surface. There is a CD drawer in which you simply
insert a blank CD and away you go. Of course you would need blank faced CDs. The cheapest ones I managed to find were from PC World. They're Verbatim make and they cost £6.99 for 10. The software you will need to print in a circular shape is included on the drivers CD, along with other useful programs.
The IP3000 can also print direct from any Pictbridge compatible camera with a USB lead. This makes printing photos very easy as it cuts out the computer part of printing your own photographs. The USB lead is, unfortunately, not included in the box. A USB lead can be bought at any electronic or pc store for only a few pound.
Also, a small but very relevant point. There are 4 seperate ink cartridges inside the printer. This can save quite an amount of money as each cartridge can be replaced as it runs out, meaning you don't have to buy magenta, cyan, yellow if only the cyan has run out. More than that, this printer has been proven through my use to be highly efficient meaning you won't have to be out buying ink every week.
^^^^ Print Stats ^^^^
Mainly, this printer is a cut above the rest due to its super quick print speed. At 22 ppm (pages per minute) in black and 15 ppm in colour, you definately won't be waiting around for this. It can also do a boarderless print in only 36 seconds.
Also, the IP3000 gives excellent quality prints. In black it can manage 600 x 600 dpi (dots per inch) and colour is a whopping 4800 x 1200 dpi. This means the detail and clarity of each picture is second to non.
^^^^ The Good Bits ^^^^
The best part about thsi printer (besides all of the above) is the way it looks. Its smart, sleek design means it would look good on pretty much any desk, anywhere.
Additionally, this printer has 2 x paper loading trays. One of which is a normal desktop printer tray, as in you feed the paper through the back. The other is a slide out tray attached to the printer.
Also, this printer is capable of double sided printing.
^^^^ The Bad Bits ^^^^
As far as I can see, there are only a couple of points I would change about the IP3000.
Firstly, I would spring load the front tray. To open you push a button and the tray litterally falls out. This gives a banging noise and you would think that one day the tray will break.
Also, the retractable CD tray is cheap, flimsy plastic. Why they couldn't have a normal computer CD drawer I will never know!!!
The main bad part to this product is the fact it doesn't come with the USB leak needed to connect the PC to the printer. As I have already said, these are only a few pound. However, you would have expected it to come complete in the box.
^^^^ Included in the box ^^^^
- ink cartridges (black, magenta, cyan, yellow) - cd drawer for printing CDs - printer ink holder - software CD (see below) - A/C main power lead - printer main unit
- easy photo print program for photo printing - easy print toolbox for all other types of printing - photo record for all saved photos, useful if you're planning on printing the same time & time again.
^^^^ Statistics ^^^^
Height = 17cm Depth = 28.6cm Weight = 6.5kg
^^^^ Can print on... ^^^^
- Plain paper - Envelopes - Photo paper (all types inc. glossy) - T- shirt transfer - Photo stickers
^^^^ Cost ^^^^

Ink - colour ranging from £5 - £15 per cartridge. Black - £20

IF YOU ARE THINKING OF BUYING THIS PRINTER, PLEASE DO NOT FORGET TO BUY A USB1 LEAD TO CONNECT PC TO PRINTER.
