Canon PIXMA IP3000

First of all, the looks strike you. I feel that this printer is one of those, 'you love it or hate it', deals.

I love it. It doesnt have any large protruding parts that you cant simply fold shut when not in use.

It has two paper inputs, one is a tray that slots in at the bottom and one (you can see in the picture) is at the top.
I rarely use the top, i just load the paper tray with a thud of paper and away I go.

I am at university and print of large amounts of coursework, this printer is very good at printing all my work fast. Granted its not the fastest but I dont think anything more is needed.

This printer does away with conventional black and colour cartridges, it has 4 seperate 'ink tanks'.
Black, Cyan, Magneta and yellow.
They function and produce the same as the normal method, but impressively they do last longer, alot longer.

I got some free canon photo paper with my printer, I thought I might aswell use it. I did and I haven't looked back.
The quality is excellent. Granted i havent printed any amazing complex photos but my nephew is still as cute as pie in the printed photos!

I also think the ability to print CD's is excellent, it comes with a plastic slot type thing that just place into a clearly marked input bit on the printer and away you go. If that isnt enough, you can even connect your camera directly to the printer for those shots you are desperatly eager to print.
