The canon pixma ip3500 is a great buy, its good quality it looks very cool but best of all its cheap too.
In fact this little machine will only cost you around Ł50, and for a great printer, what more could you ask for. Just because it's a little printer, and its not very expensive, don't just make the assumption that this doesn't print fast. This printer has the capability to print out a massive 25ppm in black text.
It prints colour pages out at a great 17ppm, and can even print pictures out at 10.4ppm.
The print quality isn't amazing, however id say its above average. The black print looks nice and really sharp when printed, and the colour pictures come out fine on this printer when printed.
When its all closed up, this printer looks like a nice box, it does have curved sides making it look more stylish and making sure it doesn't poke anyone's eyes out.
When not in use all the flaps and panels fold up nice and easy, so that when its time to print all you have to do is pull all the panels out and print. The top fold out section of the printer is the paper feed part. This takes an array of paper sizes, and has plastic runners to alter the paper size, and to keep the paper in place whilst it is printing.
The output tray folds out of the bottom of the printer and is where the printed documents come out of.
The ink cartridges are really easy to install too, you just open up the middle of the printer and push them into place, and each tank has an LED which lights red when it is installed properly. Altogether, this printer is really good for its price, however a downside is that there is only one option on the actual printer which is a bit disappointing and would have made this printer a lot better, it would however also have made it a lot dearer.
This one option is the direct print option, this means you can plug your camera straight into the printer, via the usb port which is situated at the front of the printer, you can then print your pictures off without the use of a computer which is great if you don't want to wait for the computer to load up, and this just saves loads of time if you want to print your pictures off quickly without any fuss then this is a great thing for the printer to have.
So if you want a printer that only Ł50, and which performs well, with good quality then this is defiantly a good buy. Also its quite small, and so wouldn't look out of place in a home, and could fit very easily onto a computer desk without looking large and clumsy.
