Advantages: Stylish,On printer controls, Easy to set up
Disadvantages: Some minor problems with borders and canceling

...I printed with image production software such as Photoshop, I found that faint borders were sometimes seen around my images that I did not order to be put their. I did try to solve the issue but in the end had to save my images and then print them from another program instead of Photoshop. As of now I have requested technical assistance but two days on have received no reply. Advantages: Small, Easy to move around!
Disadvantages: Slow printer if you print a lot!

...The Canon Pixma was the first printer I ever bought. I used it to print my school projects and mainly my report papers. It works great but not as fast as laser printers. Sometimes after you're done printing you have to wait a couple of seconds for the ink to dry out. The printer uses a standard canon ink cartridge, it's very small so you have to constantly change it every so often if you are always using it. I highly recommend a Laser printer if you need to print many documents and a laser printer is well suited in a fast-paced, working environment. But if you're just a student like I am you can use the Pixma IP1500, It does the job well. ALSO the Canon Pixma is also good for printing coloured photos, and envelopes, ETC. Advantages: Built in fax
Disadvantages: Expensive to buy, expensive ink replacements, Very bulky

...If you do alot of faxing and then this could be a handy product. Unfortunately I dont. I bought this model to upgrade from my Pixma MP180. In reality, the only main difference between the 2 was the faxing. Print quality is very good, speed of print is good and scan quality is good. Unfortunatly I had to send mine back as I couldnt justify paying over £140 for a printer/scanner that was only marginally better than the lower priced Pixma MP180 (£45). So if you do alot of faxing then knock your socks off and splash out on this model. But if you dont mind waiting that extra 3.78 seconds for a picture to print off then I would say you should save your money as there are cheaper models out there that do the same things. Cannon products seem rather reliable however you also need to consider the cost of replacing the ink cartridges. All new... Read review
