I have been waiting for this printer to be released since I purchased a new computer six months ago and found my old Canon printer did not run on XP. I looked at the range of all-in-ones and decided on this one as it had the cheapest ink with good quality printing and scanning facilities.

All in all, if you do not mind the rather ugly appearance of the Canon Pixma MP110, for the price it is an excellent all-in-one printer for the home or small office. When I finally received the printer I could not wait to unpack it, however, when I did, I was most disappointed at how it looked. On all the pictures the printer looked a nice shiny metal colour, however in real life it looks very cheap, plastically and ugly. The printer also does not come with a USB, and the printer that I received had a mains plug for Europe, i.e. two pins.
The set-up guide was easy to follow and once I had acquired a USB lead and adapter, it was quite quick and simple to set up. It also came with a lot of useful applications such as photo manager, editor, scanning and OCR program etc., however, I would prefer the guides to be in paper format rather than on CD which you install on your computer, as I find looking through a manual easier that navigating through computer screens to look for the help I need.
Having said all that, the only fault I can find with the printer itself is that when you switch it on and start to print something it seems to take quite a while to get warmed up and actually start printing. When it is printing the quality is very good, far better than other inkjet printers I have had. It is also very quick and efficient. The scanning is excellent and the photocopier function is very quick and simple. The software is useful and easy to use once you get used to it. The printer produces edge to edge photographs of good quality, without the need for a special photographic print head as had been used with some other Canon printers.
All in all, if you do not mind the rather ugly appearance of the Canon Pixma MP110, for the price it is an excellent all-in-one printer for the home or small office. It uses some of the cheapest ink cartridges around and prints good quality documents and photographs. The scanning and copier functions are quick and simple to use. The Canon MP110 is a very practical, cost effective and functional all-in-one, albeit a bit of an ugly duckling.
Advantages: All in one printer Disadvantages: Colour does not work well
...cartriges on the market as canon do not copyright the cartrige design! The priner can copy upto 99 copies of the same thing and has many setting including tone setting which allows the user to set how much ink is allowed onto the paper and therefore you get more prints for your money.
The other function such as scan and copy work a treat and the copies are as good as the originals. All in all this is a bad printer as the colour does not work great ...
