Being an amature photographer, I decided to purchase the Canon PIXMAMP750/Multi-function Printer, so that I can print of photos from my digital camera. Since I have I can honestly say that it has changed my life without a shadow of doubt.
The photo quality is excellent, and is made simple by the software that comes with the printer. Simply load in the paper, select the photos you want to print, and how many of each that you want, select the paper you are about to print on and I under 50 seconds later you get a 5x7 professional quality photo.
Having printed out about 100 photos in the last 2 weeks, the ink cartridge indicators have bearly moved from full, which makes it the most economical printer I have used for my photographs.
The function to print onto CD's is novel but works well with the full sized CD labels (may need to get a CD labeller to assist with this however). It is already really helping my organisation of my CD's, and I have only had it for a couple of weeks.
In addition however the printer boosts a very high quality scanner, which even at high resolution scanning is extremely quick and colour accurate.
The picbridge function is also fantastic, and although I much prefere seeing the photos on the computer before I print them, I have simply to try it out connect my camera to the printer and after following the simple on screen prompts been able to print without the use of my laptop, making it a guinine qualty stand alone printer.
The only slight problem I have is the Automatic duplex function, as it needs a fairly large border on the top and bottom as so not to cut anything out. However if you choose the Manual duplex function this problem is resolved.
Overall the print speed is very good, seconds for full pages of text, and under 50 seconds per 5x7 full colour photos. However I was expecting it to be slightly faster, but still I am not really complaining. If it continues to print at the quality it does at the moment, which I am sure it will, I recommend anyone who is looking for a good budget print to go and buy this one.

(+) portable, good print quality, works well with most modern phones/cameras (-) Zink paper hard to find on High Street, sticky-backed paper has poor adhesion on some surfaces
