Well if you fancy yourself as a bit of a photographer and take lots of photos and edit them, but you only use a normal Photo Printer to print your Photos then think again. This is one hell of a Printer, you achieve fantastic studio like photos from your DSLR camera. I Went on a bit of a spending spree a few months back and bought one of these, I have only just really got to use it to full potential. Obviously as soon as I got it a played around with it and printed lots of photos out but recently I have used it to get studio quality prints out, after using Adobe CS2 Photoshop, which by the way is a brilliant piece of software.
So about the Printer, why is it so good you ask? Well I will till you, This is a professional and excellent style 10 colourA3 photo Printer. So great for printing high resolution prints onto A3 photo paper, but also great for making posters etc. Its not just great for Colour prints but it also produces excellent quality monochrome prints using Matt Black, Photo Black or Grey ink. As inside this printer there are two black inks. The colour cartridges last around 150 pages in full colour, that's A4 pages not A3. Mono Cartridges also last 150 pages.
It's a very quite printing process, you can hardly hear the printer working. It can print around 8 pages a minute on fine print in Colour and 10 pages just in Black. Its easy to install Just plug and play so to speak. Its usb so just attach the end of the cable into the USB hub on the PC workstation.
Software included is Easy PhotoPrint Pro, Easy WebPrint, Easy PhotoPrint, PhotoRecord and CD LabelPrint. But I have Adobe Photoshop CS2 so I don't know what the software is like with it. Its probably good knowing Canon, But I didn't need to install it to find out. But this printer works fine with Photoshop.
The printer is stunning to look at. Beautiful in fact. Its nice shape along with a Black finish, looks fantastic in the computer room. But also would look great in an office or a studio. If your not wanting to have your own Printing studio then don't buy this unless you have lots of money. If you're a business and you need to spend the budget this year before April then this is something you should look at adding to your office/Studio.
So whats the price? Well it's a big one im afraid. If there was a downside to this then it's the price tag, are you ready for it? It's a pricey £600. See I said it was expensive. But its well worth it if you have the money. It's a very reliable printer, and excellent quality.
So to some up this product isn't really for the normal house uses but more for professionals, who like to do there own work, without going to Print shops. At a heavy price tag of £600 it's a bit too much for a regular person to spend unless you really are looking for the ultimate home studio Printer. If you have the money I recommend it but if your just after a normal good value Photo printer then you can have my old one .
