Manufacturer's product description

Expand your data projector's capabilities with the Canon Presentation Assistant PR-200S, a portable color scanner offering an innovative way to share documents and ideas. Through a direct, PC-less connection to your data projector, the PR-200S lets you scan a variety of documents for immediate display. Paper documents, overhead transparencies, and more - whatever material you wish to show, you can now "scan and project" it on the spot. The PR-200S also features high image quality, reliable paper-feeding, and user-friendly remote control operation. Suppose you're in a meeting, and you have a document you think others should have a look at. With the Canon PR-200S, you can use your data projector to share that document - easily, quickly, and with excellent visual quality. Simply scan the sheet and your material is projected for everyone to see. But that's not all. By using the special Carrier Sheet, you can even project a newspaper clipping or a photograph right then and there. The unit's high-quality scanning ensures that the fine details of your materials are clearly captured, and images can be freely enlarged or reduced via remote control. Whether it's used for a business situation or in an educational setting, the PR-200S turns your data projector into an extremely versatile presentation system. Since it handles overhead transparencies, all that's required is a single data projector plus the PR-200S. What's more, setting up this system is remarkably easy to do. The PR-200S plugs directly into any standard data projector (without requiring a PC connection), and its portable design makes it simple to carry from one location to another. What if you have many pages you want to show? No problem. The PR-200S comes equipped with a document feed tray that allows loading of up to 20 sheets of standard A4/Letter-size papers at once. And thanks to the unit's precise automatic feeding mechanism, each sheet is fed smoothly and reliably into the machine. When scanning multiple sheets, you can take advantage of the unit's buffer memory to do two things. First, you can get the PR-200S to scan the next one or two pages of your stack, so that your next display is ready when you need it. Second, with up to seven pages stored in memory, you have the option to go back through material, which has already been scanned, and once again display the page you were looking for. The PR-200S has also been cleverly designed to include easy solutions to potential inconveniences. Suppose you are feeding a stack of papers into the PR-200S, and that one of the pages in your stack is oriented in the wrong direction. Using the Image Rotation function on the remote control, you can have that page projected correctly with just a few button presses. Or, if you're scanning overhead transparencies, the Mirror Image function provides a one-touch way out of those occasions when a transparency has been placed upside down in the stack.

Excellent Printer From Canon
Review of Canon PIXMA iP4600 by  johnny040676

Advantages: Excellent Print Quality, Fast Printing, Reasonable Price
Disadvantages: None

...My printer had been playing up for a couple of months, I normally (99% of the time) only use it for printing in black for invoices, however I do occasionally print something off in colour and sometimes print a photo. It was missing one of the colours out now and again and so I decided it was time for a new one. Why Canon? My old printer was a Canon and although it was playing up it had served me well for about three years of constant use. I also think the design of the Canon printers is very good, I think they are far better to look at than most other makes and this is quite important when you are going to be looking at it everyday, sat on your desk. Another reason is the fact that the ink cartridges are much more affordable than some other makes, I once had a Hewlet Packard printer and required a second mortgage everytime they... Read review

Canon MP 460 printer
Review of Canon Pixma MP460 by  kindlyraccoon

Advantages: cheap
Disadvantages: poor photo prints

...to print over 50 different photos. All of them were left looking like everyone had freckels and skin tones were next to useless. Definatly not ones you want to show anyone. Even when put through a cleaning cycle there was no difference. On the bright side, when you printed text using only black ink it was crisp and very clear right down to no 8 font size. Apart from the nice looking screen area it has nothing to excite me. After using the machine for a week I have took it back to the shop, why, because of the banding, lack of colour depth and a sqeek on the slide rail when the cartridges are going across. So not really impressed with this one. I would stay clear and pay more for a good printer. Canon has failed on this one I think.... Read review

Canon PG 40
Review of Canon PG 40 - ink tank (PG-40) by  jackson8

Advantages: Long-lasting and fair priced
Disadvantages: Printer does not recognize full ink cartridge

...I purchased this product about 2 months ago for my Canon Pixma MP140 and I love it. It has produced high-quality prints that have no lines or blots for my school work thus far. And let me tell you, I have done lots of printing with it. I like this product because it is a lot larger than other ink replacements. The Canon PG 40 has 12 mL compared to other ink replacements that only have between 5 to 7 mL. As well, it is able to replace many other ink cartridges and for a relatively cheap price as well. The only problem I have had so far is that my printer flashes a low ink signal even though the cartridge is full. All in all, I would suggest buying this product if one is in need of a replacement cartridge. It is relatively cheap and has thus far lasted a long time with no problems whatsoever. A very good product indeed.... Read review
