From a client I have installed this printer Canon from the photographic pretensions (both on the wrapping and on the manual it is pointed out more times this ownership of the object).
The client had demands of color copy and white and black without investing too much (economically) in the purchase of the hardware of it in that of the materials of consumption.

----------PRICE:
Among the various proposed products he has chosen the photographic Printer Canon MP180. The price of list is £ 66,70 ( € 99.)

----------DESIGN:
The design of this printer attracts the attention for the compact dimensions and for the rounded off line but at the same time innovative that of it ago the protagonist of the plan of job on which he supports him.

----------USE:
As already motto is compact and I would add functional: the frontal panel from which set the formulations and to start the various functions has a simple and immediate menu to use (it has not been necessary to skim through the manual of use to start the first color copy to effect a pc scanning of it).
The facility of use of it ago a suitable product to the domestic environment rather than to those of an office (although small); the plasticses used for the assemblage are not to the height of other models of Canon, and in certain points they result until too much fragile. For the use in house I believe both one of the most suitable products (for the one who looks for an economic Printer).

----------PRINTING:
The printer uses the new cartridges 'Fine' with which the house declares to reach the maximum resolution of 4800 x 1200dpi.
The maximum speed of press is of 22 ppm (pages for minute) in mono (white and black) and 17 color ppm: the practical test of the printer to be sincere results to be below these declared values. Also the press doesn't have me very convinced, some parts of the printed image on sheet A4 slightly resulted penalized by a network of clearer color.
Same identical discourse is also worth for the photocopier (where attends him some first press results to be briefer in comparison to that from pc).
Useful the function that once inserted a card of memory by the possibility (through a simple menu and also to pc closed) to get a Photo Index from which to be able to choose then the photos to stamp.

----------SCANNER:
The optic sensor reaches a maximum optic resolution of 1200 x 2400 dpi, while the interpolated one reaches the 19200 x 19200 dpi. The scanner dearly develops its assignment, also not surprising for quality and speed, while the software in endowment is of everything respect: the possibility to directly acquire the documents in the format PDF is a characteristic not to underestimate on a product of this band.

----------CONNECTION:
Direct Print (to which is possible to connect memories, cameras and compatible camrecorder with the protocols PictBridge and Bubble Jet Direct for the direct press without passing from pc)
USB 2.0 Hi-Speeds for the PC connection and MAC.

The supported operational systems are Windows XP/2000/ME/98 and Mac OS X (10.2.4 or high)


In conclusion I hold the reliable and economic product, excellent the relationship performances price even if the characteristics of photographic product are not seemed me clear to the action of the practical use.
