£89.99 for a 5 megapixel digital camera seemed like a good buy to me and every since getting it home and playing around with it I find more and more things that leave me with a warm fuzzy feeling that I didn't have to part with wads of money for a good quality, well built and easu to use digital camera.
The first thing I like about the A460 is the colour. It isn't just a plain old silver, grey or black. It has a bright blue fascia which looks pretty snazzy and sets it out from the crowd. Another good feature is the manual viewfinder in addition to the LCD screen. This means that when I'm taking shots I can steady my hands by using the manual viewfinder which cuts down a lot on hand movement as the camera is held up to the face.
The LCD screen has a 86000 pixel resolution and is good for its purpose but it isn't really reflective of the pictures that will be produced. The flash is also quite strong but one hell of a drain on the batteries which even in bright light and without flash usage drain very quickly. I would suggest 2 sets of rechargeable batteries for use with the A460.
The pictures produced by the A460 are fantastic and as good in terms of clarity and detail as any other digital camera pictures I have seen. They are easy to upload onto the computer as well thanks to the easy user interface.
I have a large amount of affection now for the Canon PowerShot A460 and recommend that everyone looking for a decent digital camera without a £150+ budget gives this a serious look. Once you've had your hands on this beast, you won't want anything else.

(+) Ultra-compact dimensions, fun automatic tools, good performance for the asking price (-) Cluttered menu layout, camera buttons are scarce, specs are almost identical to the Samsung ES15
