I got this for christmas off my mum and dad, and I love it! Its a great camera and a good price. 8megapixels is alot for a camera of this price!!!
The camera is small, and so very easy to hold, great for if you are using just the one hand to take the pictures. Its very easy to use, with a small rotating button on top to change the "type of picture" you are wanting to take, whether its portrait , landscape, kids/animals, night etc.The camera has a built in flash and a huge digital screen meaning you can view your pictures in great quality before even putting them near a computer.
You can also edit the pictures previous to putting them onto the computer, you can fix red eye, rotate, change composition. Which is great if your printing the pics straight from the camera.You do need to get an SD memory card of quite a high memory if your planning on taking alot of pictures, but these can be bought for £10- £15 from most places for a high memory card (2gb), you do get a card with it, but its only around 32mb which is very very small, and only holds around 10 pics.
The picture quality is amazing, and you can change the picture quality depending on how many pics you want to take so if your taking them of a party whihc are for personal use you can put them on economy, but if your taking photos of say a wedding, you can set the pictures to a much higher quality!As I said it comes with options of kids/pets, portrait, landscape, night time and automatic picture taking options which means you can take great pictures even when your photographing moving things i.e. a dog/cat or kids who like to move before the pic is taken!!!
The zoom feature on the camera is fabulous, normally the picture goes very blurry the further you zoom in, but with this is doesn't, this is probably because the camera is 8mexapixels.The camera I believe creates beautiful photos with the minimum of effort, its the best camera I have ever owned!
At the moment there is an offer on for I think £150 where you get a Canon Selphy photo printer with the camera, which is a great offer, so look out for it if your thinking of buying this camera!!!
