Recently I bought the Canon PowerShot A50, one of the smallest megapixel zoom lens cameras on the market. The all glass f/2.6-4.0 lens is supposed to ensure the high quality of the pictures. The 28-70mm retractable power zoom lens allows excellent zooming. The pictures are good and clear, there is almost no difference to real photos. The picture size can be downsized from .bmp to .jpg (around 50 KB). The 8MB storage chip holds 37 pictures with the highest resolution, 170 pictures with the lowest.
The only real disadvantage the Canon A5Power shot shares with most the other digital cameras is the time the camera needs between two shots. Snap shots are not possible
The camera is very handy, light and comes with an 8MB storage chip, which can be substituted by any other Canon storage chip. (16MB are around £40)
The computer programs that are included in the package are easy to install and use.
Overall an excellent product with the necessary equipment, with which one can get a good, reliable product for the money.
