I'm Canadian and a college student taking a veterinary sciences course (VeterinaryTechnician, to be exact). I'm 23, and love photography, reading and going to the theatre -- both the cinema and musical aspect of it.

There are many things I like about the CanonPowerShot A700, and only a few things so far that I dislike. Good: It is very easy to use. The buttons are labelled nicely and are in the places that most people are used to, so passing off your camera to someone isn't a huge hassle. There is a great selection of ways to modify pictures, such as colours, settings, etc. I've not used them all yet (ex. snow, beach, fireworks, night, kids/pets, indoor, foliage, colour accents (the picture comes out B&W, except for a colour you choose), colour swap), but the ones I have used have been good. I find the final picture quality to be very good. There are blurry pictures from time to time, but it's more technique related, not the camera.
Bad: After taking pictures with the flash, it can take a long time to get it ready for another. It is not good when you need many pictures with the flash for a short time and you can only take a couple (not using the sequential photography option). Also, sometimes when you turn it on and go to take a picture, it won't snap one. You have to wait a few seconds, press the capture button once or twice halfway and then it's good to go.
Overall I'd recommend it to someone who needs a camera for your day-to-day shots and who likes to dabble in a bit of photography.
It is unable to dock on a printer for easy printing, but has a simple USB hook up to the computer. I find the cable to be a good length (approx. 4ft/120cm), which was an issue with past camera hook ups. It cost about $700 CAD (approx. £337 GBP) and was purchased at Black's Photography.

Good review although more info and details will improve your ratings. Some things you should include in your review are ~ some details about all the different features on the camera, such as how well/ easy they work, is there anythings in particular which you really like/dislike about the camera, how good is the picture quality, can you connect it to a printer dock/pc via USB lead etc. if you add to your review let me know so as i can come back and rerate accordingly for you :o)
