...Next I bought a Canon A100, 1.2mp then and A300, 3.2mp. Always liked Canon cameras and had used them in the past as 35mm film compacts. No matter what product you buy from Canon, I recon the quality is first class.
Santa this year was kind enough to drop me off the Canon A75 I'd been lusting after. This model for me, being the next step on from the A300.

Ripping the wrapping paper off and diving in …..ha, cheers, just what I ... ...quite a collection now.
In the dark green and white box you'll find the comprehensive instruction booklet, USB cable, set up CD, 32 mb compact flash card, 4 !! AA type alkaline batteries, and an audio / video lead to connect to the telly (a surprise) and the star of the show, the A75.
The socks, hankies, smellies and other stocking filler presents discreetly elbowed out of the way so I could give this my full attention!

Advantages: Even I can use it. Really simple and easy instructions. Disadvantages: Haven't found any.
...A couple of months ago, Len told me that his CanonPowerShotA50 digital camera was getting old. He really needed a more up to date one, with all the extra features. We headed to Best Buy, Ritz Camera, and Circuit City. All three had deals on the CanonPowerShotA75. Best Buys was $199 (104 pounds), and we would receive money back with their 'zone rewards program'. Ritz Camera would give us the same amount of money off, as a discount, and also 15 free prints. However, Circuit City offered a free battery charger and batteries, to the value of $35(18 pounds). This one we took.
We wanted another Canon, as Len had a 128 mb. CompactFlash card, and this camera used the same card. The camera came with a 32 mb. As soon as we came home Len was trying out the camera.

...Its a great camera. This camera hasn't failed me since christmas. Although it uses AA batterys, you can get rechargeables, Otherwise, its a great camera. The different modes, such as snow or fireworks are great, and it has a great manual mode for odd photos. If you set it up right and use a tripod (it has a tripod attachment) you can take photos at night of streaked car lights. The flash can be adjusted, but is powerful enough for general indoor needs, and it has a large 1.8 inch LCD, 0.3 inches larger than most other digital cameras.
The camera has a limited amount of expandability. You can screw on canon lenses designed for it, such as a wide angle lens, and it has an A/V out to plug into a TV. The camera also has a good video record function which allows recording of 640x480 video at 15 fps, which is double what most other camera...

...I applogie for the previous review content. I am a programmer here at Ciao and I was working on a bug.
But, I have a CanonPowerShotA75. And...I love it! I have it for about 1/2 year and I never go out without it. I think that Canon did a very good job.
What I LIKE about it:

Battery life :
with a 2100Mh I can make about 200 pictures with the LCD display mostly open and rarely using the flash.
Media storage:
I like Compact Flash because it chep and well spead (I can use it to store files if I buy a CF reader)
Manual control:
It has full manual control: amperture priority, time priority& manual focus. And if you want to play, to take photos in extreme condition all this are a must have.
