We bought our camera from Argos in their sale in July 04 for £199. This included a 128mb and a 32mb card, and 8 batteries! We just bought it becuase it seemed like a good deal.

It was! and we have been pleased beyond our expectations

It takes excellent pictures. We're really impressed with them.

It also has a lot of useful features. We like the movie mode with sound, and the fact that you can do a papparazi style multiple photo thing (great for taking pictures of our baby). We think that the 4 mill megapixels, the memory card and the amount of features make it excellent value for money

I also like the fact that the viewing screen can be twisted round so that you can take photos of yourself successfully.

The batteries seem to have lasted for ages, it doesn't seem to drain them as quickly as other cameras I've tried. We use rechargable batteries. We will probably buy one of those leads that enable you to plug it into the mains for when it's attached to the computer.

The software that comes with it seems to work well, and it downloads the images quickly and groups them. The photostitch function looks great (you can do perfect panaramic shots) but I haven't tried it yet. The instruction manual is really detailed and easy to follow. There are so many features with this camera (black and white, sepia options, panaramic, etc) that I'm sure it will take us many years to remember to use them all!

The only negative points are that a case is not included, also you have to hold down the picture taking button for ages before it takes the photo (but apparantly that's a fault with most digital cameras)
