of the cost of original manufacturers and can be used in many makes and models of digital device. Rechargeable digital batteries are rated in "mAh" which stands for "milli-ampere hours". This rating is used to state the storage capability of a battery, e.g. a 1000mAh battery would be capable of delivering 1000mA of current consistently for one hour whereas a 2000mAh battery would deliver the same 1000mA of current for two hours. Li-on rechargeable digital batteries can deliver 40% more capacity than comparably sized NiCd batteries and weigh less than the nickel-based batteries and develop no memory effect. U-Bop battery cells are environmentally friendly, feature a very high energy density and have no memory effect. All batteries are produced to the highest quality standards. A built-in microprocessor safeguards the cells by limiting maximum voltage and by protecting against deep discharge, short circuit and overload. Brought to you by U-Bop The Accessories Boutique
Advantages: Beautifully designed and made, high quality pictures Disadvantages: Expensive and lacks some features
...to it because I like Canon cameras, I have an EOS100 slr and a Canon Ixus advanced photo system camera. The latter is beautifully designed and very solid, I would have bought the digital Ixus if it took higher quality pictures.
I needed the camera for business principally, and wanted the highest pixel picture I could afford at the time, buying it in America there wasn't much else could tough it at the time.
It's very tough, although the caseing ... ...already been dented quite badly and I don't even know how it happened.
It's easy to use, I still haven't read the instructions but it's logical enough to allow use by most people.
The memory card it comes with is very limiting and I've recently upgraded to a 96MB card which will take over a hundred pictures in reasonable quality and less than half that in very high quality.
Be warned thought, these things eat batteries, and the batteries bought ...

Advantages: Clear LCD Disadvantages: Poor Zoom, and Stingy memory in the box
...that attracted me to the Canon S20 was it's size and weight. This portability really enhances your opportunities to use the camera, since its no longer a logistics issue to take a good camera anywhere.
The next thing that featured high on the list was the resolution, at 3.3Mpix. The camera produces amazing quality images at highest resolution, though it sucks up memory very quickly (Memory is provided in the form of compact flash cards) With 16Mb ... ...at highest resolution, and will quickly need to look for more memory in the form of a bigger memory card.
The camera body is quite well designed, sporting an 3 x 2 cm LCD, retractable lens, tripod mount, and external cable plugs. The external plugs are neatly shielded behind rubber stoppers. The camera is equipped with an optical viewfinder (a must I think for any camera), the LCD display can optionally be set to display the current view. Camera ...

Advantages: Small, stylish and MegaPixels Disadvantages: Cost
...of the many available the Canon Power shot s20 has to be one of my favorites. With its delicious 3.3 Mega pixel resolution capable of producing decent A3 size pictures without substituting quality. Along with its glorious optical zoom makes this camera a winner in my book.
Not much bigger than a conventional compact camera and the option to have an IBM microdrive memory of up to 340MB!!!!! is just a bonus.
I highly recommend this camera to all ...

Advantages: Image Quality, price, features Disadvantages: Mediocre software
....3.3 Megapixels, nuff said really.
Only that as a user of the camera, I've found it easy to operate, offers excellent picture quality, even at smaller resolutions, good quality digital zoom, loads of features.
Only one minor niggle, the zoombrowser software that comes with the camera isn't brilliant, not an exactly intuitive interface and it doesn't like working with images accross networks, especially Netware. You have to download to a local ... ...on the network, as the camera stores the images with fileames longer than the 8.3 format.
Other than that I have no major complaints. The USB interface is a doddle to use, the picture quality is excellent for the price and it looks damn good. Oh by the way, did I mention the picture quality is excellent? ...

Advantages: Wide range of feature;Good battery life Disadvantages: Expensive;
...From its well thought out ergonomics to its quality components, this heavyweight contender is a good, solid all rounder with a price to match.
Build quality
A tad small than the Fuji film S20 pro, canons flagship prosumer powershot is a serious piece of kit. Build quality is the best on test thanks to a magnesium alloy sculpted body and, though this makes the camera rather weighty, there’s a comforting air of durability about it.
Canon uses a similar layout control to its digital SLR range with colour coded play/record controls neatly recessed into the body. The exposure mode dial sits at an angle on the rear just in reach of your thumb, allowing you to switch modes without taking your finger off the shutter release

Equipped with an 8Mp sensor, there’s every opportunity to blow up your close ups and other shots to A3...
