Canon Digital IXUS 80 IS -nice little camera

Advantages: Nice little pocket camera with all the necessary features
Disadvantages: Can't really think of anything

of the pictures. The pixel count is 8 million pixels. Means it is at the end of the current list of IXUS? when it comes to resolution. Processing is done by Canon's DIGIC III processor. JPEGs are done at approximately 2-5 MB closed and 22.9 MB open. The maximum speed is 1.3 frames per second. The IXUS 80 comes with an optical viewfinder, which offers a real image zoom view. The 2.5 inch LCD screen is just perfect for any arm-length shoots. Furthermore you get Face Detection Technology Red-Eye Correction,18 Shooting Modes, Creative movie options Battery The battery is very reliable. It did not cause me any problems. Overall this is a nice little camera for the right price. It does last a while, looks nice and has everything you need as a hobby photograper. ...

Review of Canon Digital IXUS 80 IS

Canon's sharpest zoom is a rock, or brick

Advantages: Awesomely sharp. Wide Aperture gives great control. Great colour.
Disadvantages: A little fragile. Would prefer with Image Stabiliser.

This is the professional photographer's portrait zoom lens of choice. The constant F/2.8 aperture across the zoom range provides excellent performance in low-light, and the best control over depth of field in any zoom lens on the market today. Lens performance is exemplary. If you take the time to use the full time manual focus, pictures of exceptional sharpness can be achieved at any aperture. Some users complain of getting "soft" copies of the lens, but always refer to the excellent and free Canon service of calibration (within warranty). My own lens doesn't suffer from this, I have to say, and I do wonder whether some photographers claim that they're not getting a "sharp copy" when they're not taking the time to focus properly. Commonly referred to as "the brick" amongst Canon users, this lens is noted for its heft. It weighs ...

Canon A80 - Camera of Quality

Advantages: Good quality pictures, commonly used CF storage card, light and easy to handle, lots of facilities
Disadvantages: lack of low battery warning system

, This card will store 123 pictures in the highest resolution. Controls: I found the controls to set up different shooting conditions a bit fiddly and even now I tend carry the user guide in my pocket. It is however, very comprehensive and easy to follow. The camera also has a movie facility that I have not used because I already have camcorder. Things that impressed me? The Powershot A80 has a 3X optical zoom lens with a digital zoom to take it up to 11X (in combination with the optical zoom). It has 14 shooting modes and I must say, Canon's technology comes up trumps when it comes to true-to-life image reproduction. What I found particularly good, was that at the touch of a button, I could remove an adapter ring around the lens to fit optional wide angle or telephoto lenses for even greater versatility. This ...
