This has got to be the most impractical camera case ever...and...er I bought one. OK so I was desperate, but here is my review and I hope this helps someone who maybe thinking of buying this case for their Digital Ixus.

My Ixus 330 is fantastic. Canon probably spent years developing and testing it, then 5 minutes on designing the case. The materials used and choices are totally impractical, you can have any colour you like as long as it’s grey and its made of that well known durable material, suede.
My Experience
My story is that I was desperate for a case to protect my camera before I went on my summer holiday. Therefore the obvious choice was to order something from a Canon retailer. When I took the camera away on holiday the case was lovely and clean but when I came back it had got dirty from being in my bag on the beach plus it had some lovely suntan lotion stains on it as well. These proved virtually impossible to clean off, in fact I think some of the stains are still there. Additionally to this, one day I went to a theme park and got caught in a rain storm. I had no bag, just the camera with me in its case. Of course suede is not the most water repellent of materials so my camera got wet but lucky enough didn’t sustain any damage.
Summary
In summary the dimensions of the case are fine. I’ve had the case a year and a half now and the stitching hasn’t come apart and the Velcro on the detachable pouch still works. However the case now looks tatty and to be honest it looked tatty after about 2 weeks of use. If somebody needs a case for their Ixus I would highly recommend looking somewhere other than a Canon retailer and visit a camera shop to see what alternatives are available.
