I have had the Canon 105 Zoom aprrox 15 months, and can say that it takes excellent photos.
It is neat and compact in size and weight, and is coloured silver at the front with a black centre piece; and is black on the back. It comes with its own leather case (with a strong Velcro fastening), and a long strap that is attached to the camera itself.

The camera is operated using 1 Lithium battery (DL123A or CR123A, 3V) which is easy to load. I have not had to change the battery as yet and I must have taken over 15 x 24 exposure films. There are many different features I have used on lots of occasions. These include:

It comes with its own leather case (with a strong Velcro fastening), and a long strap that is attached to the camera itself. The instruction book, in 6 languages (English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, and Portuguese) is self-explanatory with a good table of contents.

Zoom levels of between 38mm (wide-angled) and 105 (telephoto) which can be altered manually when looing through the view-finder. This I used a lot in Canada for distance shots.
Auto flash with or without red-eye reduction. I use without red-eye for taking photos without people; and with red-eye for people taking in dark conditions.
I have noticed that the flash is automatically operated in any light conditions if necessary. This is supposed to help soften the outlines within the photo. There is also a self-timer which I have not used yet.
The films are easy to load, and when finished they rewind automatically. The number on top shows the exposure you are at and is easily read.
Problem solving would be easy to overcome with the manual. But, to date, I have had no use for this.
Advantages: Excellent zoom. Good picture quality. Useful timer Disadvantages: Quite a long delay to take a shot
With the digital revolution in cameras traditional 35mm cameras are becoming cheaper. I don't believe digital will ever completely take over just as e-mails will never completely replace letters. Im not going to discuss the pros and cons of digital versus 35mm photography however but suggest that "old style" camera is still a worthy investment.
When i purchased this camera (over £100 at the time) i was not too concerned with having a camera that ... ...a good zoom function and good picture quality which is exactly what i got. For those of you that are unsure a 105mm zoom means that you can take pictures that appear 3 times closer than on a typical 35mm camera. It has 4 different zoom levels so you can "zoom in" for the required closeness and maximum effect. This camera is as easy to use as an camera i've ever seen - it has a simple jog dial to switch between different functions - red eye reduction ...

Advantages: Easy to use, fully automatic, long battery life, Canon Disadvantages: Cannot take photos instantly
The Canon Sure Shot 105 Zoom has everything you would expect in an automatic camera. I have had it for over a year and it has so far given me trouble free service. I have not yet had to change the battery from periodic usage. The quality of the photos is excellent from landscape shots to portraits. The flash gives daylight brightness to the darkest of rooms and the autofocus gives crystal clear shots. Setting up this camera is a doddle; simply insert ... ...You can get this camera for around £100, which is a reasonably good price considering the functionality and the fact that it is made by Canon - one of the most trusted makes of camera.
Overall this is a great camera with superb results - you can’t go wrong. ...
