Recommendable: Yes

Advantages only thing it lacks is m/f ,and that adds to the fun of taking the shot.

Disadvantages if it breaks you might as well buy another, but read that they keep going so not too worried

    CANON T90 -THE BEST NON...

I read quite a few reviews before purchasing a T90 six months back ,was a hard call ,i wanted a camera i could carry as a backup that could also serve as a full frame shooter rather than spend shedloads more money on ultra wide lenses.i narrowed my choice down to a nikon f100 or T90.The nikon i know is also a legend, but i the end the prices of f100,s put me off, also tracking down a lightly used one was difficult.so i picked up a t90 average condition and a nikon fx90 in about same condition.
Having used both for a few months now i am growing really fond of the T90 and find it consistently gets the shot right.Canon really got it right with this model and i think i will keep it for a long time to come,i have a lot of tamron sp glass which i use both on my dslr(nikon d2x) and the T90 and have got in the habit of shooting m/f even with my dslr now(shame d2x has no liveview) and enjoy the feeling of envolvement setting up manually gives.
Anyway i would wholeheartedly recomend this camera based on the fun its given me.sure it will be with me till i get a d700 as well.
With regard to the comments about £500 mint condition prices i think that may have been true 5 years ago but now theres a lot of average condition ones cheap.I spotted a mint one recently and promptly brought it,but on reflection its too mint for me to use, having only took four rolls of film and still in box like it left shop.so i will be testing the water to see just what they can achieve today,i will give it a go on fleabay.
