This is my very first home printer. Previously I have only used large laser printers at work, so was a bit unsure about which printer to buy for home use. I wanted something cheap, but not tacky. I wanted something mainly for text printing but capable of pictures etx for my daugther's homework. I aslo wanted to be able to print photos if necessary.
So many "wants" but they have all been met by this superb little printer from Canon. I bought mine from ebuyer.co.uk and paid about £35 plus delivery. I also bought some of their recommended "non-canon" ink refils for about £2 each.
From the very first page I have not ceased to be impressed for how much printer I have got for so little money.
The only drawback is the lack of output tray, which does mean that on my cluttered desk the printed sheets have to be "rescued" before they get sucked back into the printer. Having said that it is a very minor point.
Overall a very good buy. I intended to get a cheap printer now, then upgrade later to a more expensive one, but I am seriously thinking about saving my money and sticking with the Canon i250
