Advantages Cheap ink, excellent quality printing, can print on CDs, great photo quality
Disadvantages Bit bulky, not the prettiest, photo feed not great
Well i am not an expert but I love our new printer! Hubby chose it cos he'd read some great reviews and it was very reasonable.
It was very easy to install and the software that it comes with is a doddle - even for me!It's not the prettiest or smallest printer but it looks fine - silver and black and fits nicely on our shelf above the pc!
It is a 5 colour printer and the ink cartridges are very easy to change - it tells you when one is running low but to be honest they last a while after that (you can see when they're empty) just open the top and they appear for you to change. It prints brilliant photos - I don't bother taking them in to be developed now - just select the ones you want, do a quick red eye if necessary and bob's your uncle. The photo paper feeder isn't great but you don't need it. People couldn't believe I'd printed the photos myself and all wanted to know what sort of printer it was!
It also has a direct from camera port - PictBridge - but personally I prefer to look at them on screen and adjust anything as necessary (like my double chin!)It's very quiet to print and pretty quick too - photos take a bit longer but still speedy process! Print speeds are 23 ppm for black and 16 ppm for colour output. A 6x4 photo takes about 30-50 seconds.
It's so easy to use - and we picked ours up at a bargain £89.Conclusion - a great printer especially for those photos that otherwise tend to stay in the camera or on the PC!

I think that the bad thing about digital cameras is no actual prints so having a decent printer at home sounds like the perfect solution...

I must admit that my first printer wasn't upto printing photos, this sounds okay but I tend to get photos printed at boots now, I prefer getting the points and saving my ink for other uses. Helen
