It has very good quality output and looks built to last.
There is colour scan and fax, but printing and photocopies are mono (black and white) because it only has a monochrome toner - so no surprises there.
It has automatic duplex (both sides) printing.
print speed is fast.
cartridges are £60 for original ones and you may buy remanufactured ones at less than half price.
When I purchased Canon were including a 3 year next day on site repair warranty, but if you choose to use remanufactured toners then you will invalidate this warranty (i understand you still have the option to pay the engineer extra). Regardless it shows that they have a lot of belief in their product not falling over.
negatives for me are that the person this was bought for has fail eyesight and the lcd display is small and detailed for them. There is no handset ...

Whilst talking to a friend a few months back, I mentioned I needed to buy a new printer as my old one had ceased working. My friend recommended the Canon Laser Shot LBP 2900 Printer, As that is what he had been using and said it was reasonably cheap to buy and did a good job. So the next day I went onto Amazon, Paid my £54.50 and waited for it to arrive.
Upon its arrival, I promptly went about setting it up, Now I was impressed it was small and compact and looked stylish with its monochrome finish.
For £54.50 for a reliable laser printer I thought great and thanked my friend for his recommendation. However, There was one minor problem, Now and then the paper gets jammed, This has happened with every printer I have ever used at sometime though, So I don't really see it as a big deal.

Advantages: Prints whole sheets in just seconds. Looks very modern and sleek. Little noise. Disadvantages: None whatsoever.
I recently got the chance to purchase a new printer for a friend of mine, he, having no internet access and wary of overpriced shops asked me to go online and find him a decent printer for under 150 pounds.
Having only bought two printers prior to getting the CanonLBP 1120 I wasn't entirely sure where to start, to combat my uncertainty I decided to shop around, seeking the finest price possible.
In the end my search brought me back to my usual shop for components, www.ebuyer.com. After around ten minutes browsing their printer section I came across the LBP 1120 Laser printer.
Canon in general have always served me well, being one of the only firms to charge a fair price for ink cartridges, my first printer, an Epson I found I had to shell out 20 quid just for a cartridge!
Such perks as a claimed ten pages a minute, plus some sort ...
