Advantages: Easy to use for beginner, built in 16:9 field of view Disadvantages: Heavy in prolonged use (3.545Kg), quite short battery life
Canon suggests that the XL2 provides "unprecedented flexibility" for the digital camcorder user. So, how good is the XL2?
Straight out of the box the camera seems impressive. The build quality is good and each camera component feels strong and well built.
The supplied user manual leads you through the step-by-step assembly of the camera although some of the stages are not explained very clearly. However, the connection of each of the camera's components to the main body is very logical and could be undertaken without using the manual.
Once assembled the camera does feel quite heavy with the centre of gravity leaning slightly towards the front of the camera. Initially this is not a problem but with prolonged hand-held use the camera can start to feel a little too heavy.
The camera provides 3 1/3" progressive CCD sensors ...
Advantages: Good value for money, increased workout choices Disadvantages: Limited target settings
After using the original Wii Fit game for about a year, I found the Wii Fit Plus to be a big improvement, and good value at only £20. It automatically transfers all your saved data from the Wii Fit so you don't have to start over.
I found the major improvement to be the facility to program a workout, rather than just being able to do individual exercises as before - it means a much better workout overall as you don't have to keep stopping and selecting exercises. You can either select a preset workout from the menu or customise your own using your favourite bits.
There are a number of new excercises present as well which I found great as I did start getting a bit bored with the limited selection on the original Wii Fit.
The calories/target section is a bit of a let down, you can set a target for calories to burn each day but these are ...
Advantages: fun, easy to use, great for kids Disadvantages: it's not enough to cause a large weight loss so if thats what your hoping for try something else.
The new wii fit plus comes with a variety of new games and settings including being able to target specific body areas. This game is a fun extension of the orginal wii fit, it has all the same features with some added extra's so if you don't already have wii fit there's no need to buy it just the wii fit plus and the board. I recommend wii fit plus for keeping the kids and adults entertained but not as a fitness program. The new games are highly entertaining with the same fromat as the orginal wii fit so it's very easy to use. The new routines are a great new addition because you can put in a target area and there are 3 activities that are specific to that area, or you can make your own routines for a training programme or just if you want to 3 games in a row so yout dont have to keep stopping between playing.
Overall though FUN ...
