Advantages: Beautifully presented little snippet of the future, post-His Dark Materials Disadvantages: Undeniable aftertaste of pointlessness
Anyone who has read any of my previous ops about books, audio books or children?s books, will have come across copious references to Philip Pullman, and my love of the beautifully crafted His Dark Materials. It is an extraordinary book, published as a trio of intelligent, pacy, fantastical novels: Northern Lights, The Subtle Knife and The Amber Spyglass. If this epic collection has a fault it is, as jillmurphy once suggested to me, that it verges on a polemic against organised religion that involves some gentle brainwashing of its own. I think this is true. But I also think that it is a stunningly written and fascinating exploration of those themes from the point of view of a child pitched on the verge of adulthood.
His Dark Materials ended oddly for me. Although it had been a long haul through The Amber Spyglass, and although ...
Advantages: Great sound clarity, very comfortable Disadvantages: Higher frequencies not as refined as other earphones
Listening to music... a great British pastime, and something I enjoy every day. It comes as no surprise, mainly because it has been said many times before, that the earphones bundled with the iPod, or any MP3 player, are not brilliant. Being the in-ear type of headphone, comfort is very important. Out of all the earphones I have tried, these win ...
Advantages: Good mpg, Stylish , A real head turner, 80 mph de-resricted Disadvantages: slips out of gear sometimes, Hard to find parts
Hi i am writing this review from first hand experiance with this great 50cc motorbike.
The Bike Itself !!
The bike offers alot more than your average scooter reaching top speeds of 80 mph if derestricted which realy turns heads. The fun I have had taking over my friends on there scooters. The bike has wicked ecceleration and can quiet easily pull a wheelie at the lights or wheel spins on gravel.
The syle of the bike is an exact copy of a bigger aprillia exept for the tiny exhoust pipe which I think is the only letdown on its design.
The handling of the bike is exellent its all so smooth changing gear, breaking and turning. You could ride tyhe rs50 for hours and not become unconfortable as it has realy confy seat and the peddles are set up just right and can be finely adjusted.
If the rs50 does break down or has a little ...
