Capcom Classics Collection Volume 2 (PS2)

Advantages: Retro style, Good for anime lovers, Japanese voices, Nice artwork, Fun
Disadvantages: Not many modes

...This is one of my favourite beat em up's on modern consoles. Capcom still keeps its retro 2D characters that most game developers are giving up on. There is a HUGE choice of characters from both Capcom (street fighter etc) and SNK (King of fighters), however most people have never heard of SNK as it rarely left Japan. I find the choice of Capcom and SNL excellent as they are so similar and always trying to compete. Even if you don't know any of the characters, I still think this is a fantastic play. Each character has their own special moves, weight, voice actors, personality and style. I love how the background is 3D because if it was all 2D it wouldn't suit being on a gamcube/ ps2. I also find the music fun and inspiring. The 2D graphics run smoothly and are unusual to most modern games. I wish there was more explanation... Read review

...Playing Onimusha was a great experience. With it being so simple to play i was able to kill demons right away! Watch out though as the puzzles do get tricky later on. If you are a hack and slash fan this is a game for you with magic thrown in, in the weapons it creates the full experience. Characters and story slightly far fetched but with beautiful FMV (considering it's age) and plenty of bosses to face Capcom have delivered the goods again. Do watch out for the poor camara possitions! in respect to other games like Tenchu and Dynasty Warriors this comes up very well as it is by far the easiest to play and succeed in unfortunatly lacking depth to be a classic.... ...RE:CVX is a good game to advance the story of the game. gives you insight into different parts of the past of series. Meaning what happened before the mansion. Graphics are improved, but this is expected coming to the PS2. A decent game for fans of the series. The game hasn't really changed any. All the same things are still happening. No new suspenseful situations. Voice acting is still bad (steve's got better as time went on). All and all just another title from capcom to enhance the story. Personally I was afraid that capcom would turn this into another street fighter 2 where it just keeps going with the same gameplay, just new characters. Some improvments could be made, but an all around a good resident evil title.... Read review
