I don't actually drink that much anymore but on a recent night out, I was reminded of just how much I like Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum.

Captain Morgan
Sir Henry Morgan, better known as Captain Morgan was born in Wales in 1635 and was a successful buccaneer. In 1674 he was knighted by King Charles II and in 1690, he became the governor of Jamaica. In 1944 the Seagram Company began producing rum under the name of Captain Morgan Rum Company.
Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum
Spiced rum is very different to the usual white and dark rum. ... ...Caribbean. According to the Captain Morgan website Spiced Rum is "aged to be mellow and enhanced with unique fruit flavours and spices (said to be cinnamon and cloves) and then enhanced with a hint of vanilla." Each bottle of Captain Morgan Spiced Rum contains 35% alcohol but like I already said, you really wouldn't notice this.

I usually buy my Spiced Rum from Tesco's and here a 70cl bottle will set you back £13.98 which I think is fairly ...

Advantages: Tasty and sweet nectar Disadvantages: the captain gets a bit fruity after a few glasses
Hey landlubbers!!!!!! Captain Escobar here, fresh from sailing the seven seas plundering and pillaging my scurvy enemies (or fresh from working some godawful hours, leaving me no time for ciao). Just got into port and thought I would share my thoughts on an Uber drink from an old pal of mine, Captain Morgan.
Now I was off the coast of morocco when I saw the familiar site of old Captain Morgans Galleon, now I had not realised that the old man had ... ...our clever marketing. Captain Morgan made a mint and all the other sailors wanted more of his delicious drink. An evil pirate named LAMINGTON LAMB decided that he wuld get in on this game and make his own god darned rum drink. Now Captain Morgan was not gonna be beaten by lamington so decided to tinker with his beloved recipe by adding cinammon and cloves, thus creating MORGANS SPICED, a full flavoured 'spicy' rum that had the normal rum taste but ...

Advantages: Mixes well. Light Flavour. Aromatic Disadvantages: Not many unless you dislike rum
...is when I first "discovered" Captain Morgan's Original Spiced Rum.
Although I claim no great expertise about rums I understand it is made by distilling fermented molasses and ageing them in barrels for periods between 1 and 30 years. In the case of Captain Morgan's Original Special Rum,cinnamon and cloves are added to the product. This rum is a medium-bodied,light flavoured, drink, that is aromatic- if you dont like cinnamon you may not like this ... ...Collada which comprises 1 oz Captain Morgan's Rum, 6 oz of pilha collada mix and crushed ice. In conclusion although I am no great lover of rum I do rate Captain Morgan's Original Spiced rum quite highly so its 4 stars out of 4 from me ! Thanks for reading ! ...

...35% volume and made by Captain Morgan(howdy to you) Distillers is the fastest growing spirit in the UK off trade and between 18-25 years old in Scotland is the No.1 spirit. Coming in 35cl, 70cl and 1ltr bottles costing around £7.29, £12.99 and £15.99 respectively it may be slightly dearer than ordinary rum but in my opinion is certainly worth it.

Advantages: lovely spicy flavour Disadvantages: it's alcohol so as always be careful you don't drink too much
...rum and had always associated Captain Morgans with the black label rum but a friend persuaded me - arm twisted round my back, honestly!!! - and I found that it had a lovely flavour. I had it first with cola and although it was nice I felt the cola covered the true flavour so the next one I had with lemonade with a slice of lemon added. This was much nicer so I think I had a few more that night. One thing that struck me was not the pavement - its ... ...interested in the heritage of Captain Morgan he was a very successful 17th buccaneer who was born in Wales in 1635.
He was knighted by King Charles II in 1674 and became governor of Jamaica in 1680. I guess this is when he found his liking for rum. He died in 1688 but as the story goes his legend lives on. You can find out more about Captain Morgan and his travels on the captainmorgan.com website and it is very interesting to also read about how ...
