Who's afraid of Virginia Woolf?

Advantages: Some original, striking moments ...
Disadvantages: ... but not enough of them

?" Or something. Anyway, it was about time to see what all the fuss was about and the opportunity presented itself when browsing in a bookshop and coming across the Penguin Popular Classics at £2 each. Of course I was full of preconceived notions of what to expect. And largely they were proved correct, although there were one or two surprises. If you know one thing about Virginia Woolf, it's that nothing happens in her novels. So I'm giving nothing away - there is nothing to give away - if I tell you that the book is about Clarissa Dalloway preparing for a party one June day in 1923. Review of Mrs Dalloway (Penguin Popular Classics) - Virginia Woolf

Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? I AM!

Advantages: powerful acting portrayed by all 4 leads
Disadvantages: may seem dated to some now

Oh and if you're looking for the "feel good factor" you won't get it from watching this black comedy of a film. NB: Virginia Woolf (in case anyone was wondering) was a British feminist writer. ...

An Old Essay...

---------------------------- -The New School ---------------------------- This is an essay that I found from years and years ago when I was at school... "Time to wake up! Time to wake up" . Oh heck it's my mother and her wake up calls. It was 8 o' clock in the morning and I had a terrible unrelaxing night's sleep after all the thoughts and nervous tensions running through my brain worrying about what my newschool was going to be like. Could it be a good first day, or could it all go wrong and turn out as a disaster, I suppose theres only one way to find out... I slowly got up and with a deep yawn and a big stretch after the rough nights sleep, picked up my school uniform and walked to the bathroom with no thought of what was to come of school. When I quickly got dressed after a refreshing shower, it was time to fetch my ...
