Its a fantastic unit that contains many different features hence the thick user guide that comes with the unit. The unit is fully customizable with the options of changing button colours, background movies, many diifferent preset factory equalisers aswell as manual setupus to customize the sound to your own personal liking. Big things come in small packages!!! Advantages: small, great power output, durable Disadvantages: a little expensive ...for over a year now. Alpine came out with some amazing technology with this amplifier. It produces 1000watts rms at both 2 ohm and 4 ohm loads. and its not kidding. i have 2 12in alpine type r subwoofers in my trunk hooked up to this thing with a ported box and man it gives you some amazing highs and lows. with exeptional soud quaility and clarity due to the digital power this thing puts out. A Great Head Unit For The Modern Age... Advantages: Looks Great, Easy To Use, Great Features, Simple To Install Disadvantages: Ipod Function Can Be Difficult To Begin With I bought this head unit from Halford for only £200.. This was an amazing price as once installed.. Which I must say only took 10 minutes and was very easy even with the ipod connection to sort out.. it provided me with everything I wanted from a head unit from all the features you need such as fader, treble, subwoofer, bass levels and all the rest. I found it very easy to use right from the start although the Ipod feature took a little to adjust ... ...I found this a usefull feature as you dont want to be looking at the little text on your ipod when your driving along.. As long as you put your music into suitable playlists you'll be fine with the interface... The head unit looks awsome aswell with the illumination both in Red and Blue.. Looks amazing at night! The text is easy to read on the screen and this can be changed to scrolling text, fade and etc.. alpine ida x200 Advantages: good sound nice to look at Disadvantages: skips in middle of songs, no clock!!!!!, pay £160.00 for great sound Ok bought alpine ida x200 as it did nearly all the things x100 does but was a £100 cheaper. after installing i noticed the clock would not display, so i contacted alpine u.k. and they gave me instructions on how to display. I followed instructions but these did not work so again i contacted alpine u.k. The response came back he had given wrong instructins and the x200 does not have a clock. The sound is nice on system but if you want to have great ... ...another £80.00.if you want a clock add £100 and upgrade to the x100, i have never bought alpine before and never will again. I will say this though if you buy American x200 you do get a clock and a calender. Amazing how we the British puplic get ripped off. ... best i've ever owend! Advantages: unbeleavable performance! Disadvantages: hard to get hold of. truely the best amp i have ever owned! it is an old amp now, but will still out perform near enough anything else on the market. they are that powerfull, they have even been banned from sound compertitions! seriously unde-rated! i currently own 2 and will never sell them, as they are that good and rare to get hold of nowadays. to run it at its full capacity, you will need to run 0 gauge cable to them, i did have 4 gauge cable, going to one and ... ...the car and gets A LOT of attention. the RMS of this amp is 900w monobloc, which is more than you get out of most competition amps, and will spike to 1600w if pushed! these amps, arre not for the feint hearted, and will very easily blow subs if not installed and set up correctly.
