These speakers have proven to be an excellent replacement for my Toyota standard rear car speakers.
THe sound quality is superb, with excellent bass and treble distinction, and good output power for the price. You do have to be careful when matching up the power ratings with your existing stereo however, as I discovered when I hooked them up to my ancient toyota standard stereo and could barely hear the sound!
They are also very versatile, allowing ... ...car speakers which are not easily found on the market. The only problem is that the plastic plinth which allows this versatility is quite delicate, and if you screw them in too tightly to the brackets they are prone to damage.
Overall though, and excellent value speaker ...

...Here's my review of the JVC CS-V 525.
Firstly I am actually sitting in my car whilst I type so I can give a more comprehensive description of the sound quality.
I bought these speakers of Ebay for £21.99 with free delivery so the value is'nt bad.
I replaced my stock Peugeot 306 door speakers with these and needed an adaptor to fit the wiring which again I got of Ebay for around £3.50. They are very easy to get working although the screw alignments ... ...which is on very tightly and holds it fine without any movement or rattles. One other dissapointing factor is I couldn't fit the speaker bracket or grill due to the irregular size so I just used my stock peugeot grills to cover the speaker. I prefer the understated look anyway.
Now for the sound.
I'm running these speakers off a Ripspeed CMR-1000 headunit and my first impression was a quite pleasent high end boost and clarity compared to my stock ...

If you think to replace your old car speakers on something newer, then these are the right ones.
Why?
1. Base and Pitch speakers 2 in one.
2. 130Watt is just enough for you as long as you sit less than a meter from them, your feet will be shaking.
3. Quality of the Treble and High sounds is hard to call "bad"
4. Although you could buy some additional Subwoofer for the maximum satisfaction, but as for the good base sound 0 this is just enough.
... ...car - it would be better to buy 2 pairs and put 1 pair in frond and one at the back, also it will be great to buy an 2 way (4 speaker + 1 Subwoofer) equalizer and cud down the high sounds on the back speakers. 100% satisfaction. ...
