MER LIN MAGIC IS WHAT THEY SHOULD NAME MER CAR POLISH

Advantages: Can be put on in the sun, buffs off easily, gives great result.
Disadvantages: No negatives at all

...Nottingham just to buy my Mer supplies. That was about 20 years ago and fortunately it's now stocked by some major suppliers throughout the UK and long journeys to buy it are no longer necessary. Over the years I've used this product on various cars in various colours, it's amazing on black cars as you don't get swirley marks that are often associated with black cars. It is by far the easiest polish to apply and you can put on in the sun and take ...
...you look at the price of equivalent products for example Autoglym which is also a carauba wax you'll find that Mer is much better value. Mer is the only polish I know that you can use in the sun without it baking on. I definately recommend this product. ...

Review of Mer Car Polish

No Poor effort from Poorboys

Advantages: Protects your paintwork and gives added shine
Disadvantages: I haven't seen it in the shops, only available on line

...I had never heard of Poorboys products, let alone their EX-P Sealant but I was shopping for some polish and this was recommended to be used with the polish I had chosen. I did a little bit of research and found out that a sealant is a synthetic product which is designed for long term paint protection and also easy application. This particular sealant made by Poorboys is a “pure” sealant and an 'Amino Functional Resin'. It can be applied in the sun ...
...I have noticed about the Poorboys products is that they all have a nice smell to them, this particular one smells of coconut which is a huge hit with me, though of course others might not think so. As I had never used a sealant before, I read the instructions of the bottle’s label before I went about smothering my car in the stuff. It seemed pretty straight forward so I set about getting my car looking sparkly clean. The first thing I did was give ...

Natty waxes on and off

Advantages: Excellent long lasting results, only need to use a little
Disadvantages: Only available online, makes you hungry when using it

Until earlier in the year I had never used wax on my own car. Years ago my Dad had asked me to wax his car for him and to be honest it was hard work!! For me washing and giving my car a quick coat of polish was more than enough, it gave a nice shine and lasted until I washed it next. When I bought my new car I knew with it being black I would need to put a little extra work in and set about looking for a wax. I logged on to my favourite online car ...
...Natty's Paste Wax caught my eye for three reasons, the price, that it was specifically for dark paint and the promise of easy on easy off application. Okay I admit being called Natalie the name was also a bit of a draw too. This wax is made by Poorboy's World a company which was established in 2002 with the aim of economy, ease of use and the ability to apply in direct sunlight. Wax forms an invisible barrier on your paintwork and protects it against ...

Verstile WD - 40 to the rescue

Advantages: A great versitile product.
Disadvantages: Must use in a ventilated space

...I have now started using WD-40 to do the job for me. I just spray a little on to the sticker leave for a few moments and then remove the sticker easily as the solvents in WD 40 cause the adhesive to lose its stickiness. 2. Removing grease and grime from hands. When my husband has been working on the car and his hands are covered in greasy and black with grime he just spray some WD-40 on to his hands rubs them together and then uses a paper towel ...
...simply spray a bit of WD-40 on to the mark and then with a cloth wipe away. However, I have not tried this on wallpaper although it is supposed to have the same effect. 4. Removing oil stains from the drive. My husband used WD-40 to remove a small oil spot from the drive by spraying the area and then hosing it down with water. 5. Getting rid of thistles. I sometimes get huge thistles growing in the garden and I was told by a neighbour some years ...

Under pressure!

Advantages: Easy to use, accurate, saves going out to the garage, good value
Disadvantages: None

...particular task! The Halfords LED Digital Tyre Pressure Gauge is a tool you can use at home to help you find out the PSI (Pound per square inch) of your car tyres. It's cheap, simple to use and saves you unnecessary trips to the petrol station to check them only to find out that they didn't need pumping up anyway. My dad gave me our one, but they are widely available in all Halfords store for around the £17 mark, which I think is quite good value ...
...long sat on the floor! Halfords are currently selling these tools for £16.99 which I think is great value. As I mentioned, mine is slightly older than the one currently available so it probably has some different features such as a light, but the principle is exactly the same. It's so handy to have around the house as it means you don't have to make pointless trips to the garage just to check your pressures, and because you won't use it that often, ...
