the nuvi 255W - a good friend when you're lost

Advantages: nice design, friendly software, pretty accurate preinstalled maps
Disadvantages: some map bugs, not-so-sensitive touchscreen

Ingenious for the price

Advantages: easy to use, very attractive, value for money, accurate
Disadvantages: a little smaller than other gadgets, but excellent handbag size

The Best Tomtom yet ... Highly Recommended

Advantages: Easy to use, very accurate and a great alternative to sitting in traffic jams
Disadvantages: Handsfree mobile system can be tempremental & fairly high price to purchase

If using the map update service, these can be updated from £7.99 each time, compared to £49.99+ if purchased "off the shelf". Tomtom's 'IQ Routes' uses historical data to route you the most appropriate route for the time of day/day of the week that you are travelling, thus often saving time and fuel in the process. Maps sometimes are wrong or out of date ...
...having one of those things hanging from your ear for the whole car journey! Overall a great Satnav (Tomtom's best) and highly recommended. If you require European mapping in this great device just go for a Tomtom 740 Live or for US mapping as well, a 940 Live. ...
