I've had the Navigon 7110 for well over a year, and as my 1st Sat-Nav I have to say I've been extremely impressed. I researched the market before buying, delving into forums, countless reviews and reached the conclusion that a TOMTOM = p*ss-poor. I found the Navigon and it was a breath of fresh air, it was the only sat nav that looked really really stylish (then). The 7110 has europe maps, and the 7100 has UK and Ireland maps, there is a £30 price ...
...map updates for 99euros using Navigon FreshMaps. These are proper maps from the people that make sat-nav maps. TomTom have a user-based update map feature, where users can add speed cameras, new roads etc - which can be unreliable - but it is free! Not only that, but the new maps are 2.1GB, and it only has a 2GB SD disk - This may be 4GB now in new ones but I now have to pay £10 for a 4GB SD disk. Advantages: nice disply
Disadvantages: heavy,poor battery,hard to use

it looks nice the screen disply is great the battery life on the product is poor its allways running out its a very hard to use u find your reading the maunal every five minutes its difficult to link up to the computer it doesn't seem to get it right we've tryed uploading music files, pictures files and extras to the nav but it doesn't work these little problems with it have made us mad because we never thought that it could be so hard to use it. ... ...up todate. take the tomtom plus service and always go for traffic with speed camaras, its a must. sometimes the traffic can make your journey longer but just use traffic system as a report and press alternative route missing out bit with a jam. speed cameras are kept up todate, even were they stick the mobile units and roadwork ones. screen covers a large area, i turn the 3D mode of the map version work better, noght mode is good change the standard ... I found this navigation system much easier to use than other products out there. The battery life was good and the voices clear and easy to understand. it also had a very easy to navigate menu however i found problems in locating my home address as it wasn't available as a selection.
