Bosh Aero Twin
Advantages: Clean, modern look, effective at keeping the screen clean, easy to fit Disadvantages: not cheap
...blades. I opted for the Bosch version, knowing them to be a good brand.

As you can see, the design is quite different. Flat and aero dynamic, it sits flush on the windscreen, out of sight (mostly) until needed. The wiper(s) are fantastic at their job too. They keep the windscreen water free much more effectively than the ... ...bugs without splattering their remains across the glass. The retro-fit blades slot easily onto the old arms. Disturbingly, they actually clip in place more easily than the original blades that were intended for the arms. The blades aren’t cheap, they set me back £25 for the pair, but I have heard rumours that they last years. Time will tell. ...

* Happy New Year. New wiper blades too? . .
Advantages: Very efficient blades. Disadvantages: Expensive.
Trico NEOFORM Blades are the newest in wiper blade design, and have only recently been introduced. These are also known as flat or beam blades.
These Trico NeoForm Beam Blades, represent the future of the wiper industry, in both performance and also styling. They are designed to compliment the aesthetics of today's vehicles.
Wiper blades have always had a bad press, they are only fitted when strips of ruber are hanging off your old ones, or for ... ...cars, as well as buses and trucks too.
Trico have been making wiper blades since 1917, and have quite a reputation, they invented the first multi-edge wiper blade in the 1920s. The company does have a good website, take a look here:- http://www.tricoproducts.com/index.cfm?locationid=36

* X Rated wipers from Race X . .
Advantages: They actually work. Disadvantages: Cost.
. .
Wiper blades, the most overlooked piece of kit on a car. You just assume they are ok and ignore them, when actually you should be giving them more consideration than the likes of spoilers and cone filters. They are certainly more important than most things on cars, certainly up there with tyres. Race X is a company with a lot of history, they have been established for some time now, and they are starting to get a good name. The company also ... ...racers need to make their cars look better, and while some of these flash items do look good, they are not what I would call improvements. Having said that, when it comes to the looks of these items, they do have an extensive range, and the quality of these items does seem very good, Although I do wonder if they're spending their money on the wrong things sometimes. Looking through their catalogue, you will also notice over 300 styling bits available, ...

Blade - wiper - windscreen thing..
Advantages: Very efficient. Disadvantages: Looks silly in colours.
. .
Race X history is a good place to start, well, they have been on the go for a while now, and are getting a good name. The company sells a range of kit that the younger generation require for making their motors look better, and although these "show" items look good, they are not really what I would call improvements. That said, when it comes to wiper blades, they seem to have come up with the goods, The quality of the rubber seems very good, ... ...contact details of your local Race X dealer and or retailer.

Advice for people buying these would be to choose carefully, preferably feel the product first, and if in doubt, buy the original equipment instead.
Compared with others, these seem to stand up to scrutiny, even by me, and that is saying something!

Bend those Beamers
Advantages: Safe and efficient Disadvantages: Designed for single use only
Over the course of many years I have driven on the Continent numerous times in both my own vehicles and hired cars. Each time I have driven a hired car (once I have finished complaining that the gear stick is on the wrong side) I have been struck by how much better the night vision and headlamp performance seems than when I dive my own car abroad. This is undoubtedly due to the fact that I used to insist on creating my own beam deflectors from black ... ...bits were very effective at cutting out the light rather than just directing it away from the centre of the European roads. Moreover living on the .south coast and near to busy cross channel ferry services I am very critical of foreign drivers who come to our shores, do nothing to adapt their headlamps to be suitable for our roads and proceed to blind and dazzle me with what feels to be full on beam headlamps. I appreciate then that notwithstanding ...
