Having recently purchased a “new” second hand car, I decided to give it a wax and polish. I visited my local motoring store and was amazed at the vast amount of different polishes and waxes. I read a few labels and plumped for Car Plan T-Cut Color Fast.
T-Cut comes in most shades and gives you four shades of which one should match your colour. I found that I got an exact match so off home. I rolled up my sleeves and got on with it. It is recommended for most paint finishes including metallic.
It is recommended that the surface should be washed first and then dried and the wax should be applied in small sections at a time. The wax goes on very easily and does not need loads of “elbow grease” like some products. It dries to a colour haze, which ever yours is, and polishes off very easily and shines well. The cloth used gets very colourful and can get on your clothing if not careful. T-Cut will cover small scratches but not deep ones and will need to be repeated to maintain it’s as new shine. I also found that rain does not leave those awful smears and water marks that I used to get, especially if I used an automatic car wash.
It comes in 500 ml and 1 litre plastic bottles. It has the simple instructions on the reverse of bottle and the usual warnings i.e avoid eye contact. Do not swallow etc All common sense really but sometimes necessary.
I purchased my 500 ml bottle from Motor World for £8.99 A little more expensive than other polishes but I found it cost effective as it cleans and covers small blemishes.
