Infant car seat
Review of Mamas & Papas Primo Viaggio Car Seat by
xjenniex2008
Advantages: Matched my pram, looks nice
Disadvantages: Heavy, gew out of it quickly
When we bought our M&P pram, this car seat came as part of the package.
We have used it since my daughter was born with no problems (we also purchased the surefix base). She has always been happy in it, and we've been happy with it.
At 8 months she started getting really annoyed when we were in the car, I suspect this is down to her wanting to face forward now (she's quite nosey like her mother). We managed to keep her in it for another month but ... ...much better for her. She was also too long for it now and her feet touched the seat infront of her, my daughter is only small for her age aswell. The seat is heavy on its own, and whilst she was a newborn we were okay to carry it (although not for long) but at 8 months she was approx 15lb and I couldn't even lift it it was so heavy. It is a lovely looking car seat and it was in the same fabric as my pram but it just didnt last long enough. ...

Don't expect it to last too long!
Review of Maxi Cosi Cabriofix by
shadsy1982
Advantages: One of the safest on the market. Lots of variety of colours. Can buy base.
Disadvantages: Won't last very long even if you don't have a big baby! Quite expensive.
...on the market.
The maxi cosi comes in a wide variety of colours and all have a material sun cover which tucks nicely into the back of the car seat.
Our little boy was 7lb 8oz when he was born and was buried by the seat, however, 2 months on I have had to move the new baby cushion up to the next setting and will soon have to remove it all together as he is getting too big for it. The only problem with removing the cushion is that there is then no ... ...into getting a support pillow for his neck. Ethan is not a big baby, in fact he is following average weight and length measurements. I am not sure what other car seats are like but I really don't think this one is goin to last much longer! I was under the impression that it should last him around a year!
Having said that the car seat is very easy to fit into the car using a seat belt or you can but either an iso fix base or a base that fits into ...

Too small
Review of Maxi-Cosi Cabrio Car Seat by
Ann-Marie_B
Advantages: Attractive and lightweight
Disadvantages: Far too small
I chose this particular baby carrier as it fitted onto our Quinny travel system. I also found that this was quite a popular choice as well as being aesthetically pleasing and surprisingly lightweight. I chose the bright and colourful skydive design from the many colour options available.
My son is a relatively small baby, being just 7lb at birth. Yet at 4.5 moths he had almost outgrown this seat. His legs overhung at the back and as this was rear ... ...seat. I spoke to the store where we purchased this item and was told that it was fine for my baby's legs to overhang, despite the uncomfortable position. However around a week later whilst on a car journey, as my son's legs were bent against the seat, he managed to tip the infant carrier forward and his neck dropped down. My husband and I did not notice this had occurred until we heard a coughing sound and pulled over. We were shocked to see our ...

Great car seat
Review of Mamas & Papas Protec in Graphite Car Seat by
Gunjay123
Advantages: recline function
Disadvantages: material on seat bobbles
...with it. After visiting Mamas and Papas the Store Assistant managed to sell us this car seat, as we were originally going for something else we'd seen on the internet which was around £30 cheaper. As she explained, one of the key benefit of this car seat is the fact that there is a handle near the base that can be turned up to 3 times, to make the seat recline backwards - this is an especially key feature for me in rating this seat as my daughter ... ...was around 10 months. The benefit of this is the fact that if the baby falls asleep in the car, which they tend to do, their head doeasn't flop forward, and instead they are more comfortably asleep.
The only downsides of the seat are that it is a little bulky, and maybe slightly confusing for those who are installing the seat for the 1st time. The pro on the other hand is that you can see the seat is really secure and safe with all of the loops ...
