good and bad points
Review of Recaro Young Expert Plus by
emma29879
Advantages: good quality
Disadvantages: not the easiest to fit
i had the young profi plus car seat and was so impressed with it i decided to for the young expert plus when my little one grew out if the smaller one.
there are definite plus points to this seat but there are some drawbacks too. i cant fault the quality it is robust and well built. my little one seems happy enough in it so not much more you can say than that.
i found that this did not fit to well in my vectra or in a astra so maybe worth trying ... ...my fiat ulysse.i am aware not all car seats fit all cars and you should always get them fitted by a proffesional however i am sharing my personal experience
it is not the easiest to fit in your car and you do need to work out the knack to it. the seat front drops forward and you feed the seatbelt through and clip in so essentially the seatbelt has strapped the back of the seat in. the tricky ish part is clipping the front of the seat back while ...

Great car seat
Review of Mamas & Papas Protec in Graphite Car Seat by
Gunjay123
Advantages: recline function
Disadvantages: material on seat bobbles
...with it. After visiting Mamas and Papas the Store Assistant managed to sell us this car seat, as we were originally going for something else we'd seen on the internet which was around £30 cheaper. As she explained, one of the key benefit of this car seat is the fact that there is a handle near the base that can be turned up to 3 times, to make the seat recline backwards - this is an especially key feature for me in rating this seat as my daughter ... ...was around 10 months. The benefit of this is the fact that if the baby falls asleep in the car, which they tend to do, their head doeasn't flop forward, and instead they are more comfortably asleep.
The only downsides of the seat are that it is a little bulky, and maybe slightly confusing for those who are installing the seat for the 1st time. The pro on the other hand is that you can see the seat is really secure and safe with all of the loops ...

Eclipse deserves it's good reputation
Review of Britax Eclipse by
sammymariag
Advantages: very padded and comfortable
Disadvantages: needs a wide (standard seat ) to install safely and needs a strong arm too!
We bought the Eclipse SI in the january sales and patiently waited for the boy to weigh enough to install it. Three months later he hit the requisite 19lbs and he has never been happier. I have a 2 seater SUV (without airbag) and hubby has a hatchback so we have tested the car seat in the front and back and it works very well. You do need a bit of weight behind you to press the seat in firmly when first installing - if you are a lady on your own ... ...I would look for something lighter - but once it is installed it is very convenient, easy to get in and out and now i have the hang of it, little one does not even wake up when i get him out when we get home. There are two settings but we leave it tilted back as a default and the boy is comfortable and can still see what's going on. I am very pleased with this purchase and it was very reasonably priced too. ...

Maxi Cosi Priori XP Car Seat
Review of Maxi Cosi Priori Toddler Car Seat by
clairebette
Advantages: Stylish, Easy to Install, Easy to get baby in and out.
Disadvantages: Straps can be hard to loosen/tighten.
...seat as we had the maxi cosi cabriofix when our son was newborn and got on really well with it. Installed in about 10 minutes - I wouldn't want to move it from car to car a lot but I think that relates to all forward facing seats not just this one. Baby loves facing forward as there is so much more to see and its really easy getting him in and out. The mechanism to loosen and tighten the straps can be a bit tricky to use, but I think this was the ... ...tried baby in a more padded seat at a shop and he looked rather restricted and uncomfortable. This seat feels safe (reassuring manufacturer name) but also seems to give baby a bit of freedom. The recline is really smooth and although he's only been out in in three times he has fallen asleep twice ! The other good thing is I can reach the recline from my driving position so can move him back or forward as need be without getting out of the car. ...

cabriofix
Review of Maxi Cosi Cabriofix by
YORKSTER22
Advantages: compact, simple design, no unneeded extras
Disadvantages: Maybe price but Im sure its worth the extra, size maybe an issue for some
We own this seat and find it ideal for our son. Its small and compact for easy portability and placing into the car. the straps are easy to use and very high quality. The newborn insert held him nice and firmly when he was tiny, then you remove the wedge under his bum to allow him more space before removing the head part of the insert when he grows a little more. He seems to like the chair as he always sleeps while in it.
We chose this chair due ... ...seem to be much large with more complicated sun shade arrangements. Often less is more.
The whole quality of the chair seems to me top notch and I'm sure it is a safe away as possible to transport little people!
For extra safety and convenience we bought the isofix base too, This clicks into the rear of our Freelander 2 very nicely. Placing and locking the seat onto the base couldnt be easier and once placed the whole set up is very sturdy. Basically ...
