An easy child car seat to swap between cars
Advantages: easy to swap between cars, lightweight, comfortable Disadvantages: not suitable for naughty children who unclip belts
This is a comfortable light weight seat which is easy to swap between cars (the normal seat belt feeds through top corner and inserts in normal slot), and my son loves to sit in it, I think that it gives him good support and the seatbelt goes across him well and safely.
Its is for children who weigh between 15-36kg. It has two cup holders which my son used to use to put his dummies in. However only one cup holder can be open at one time, depending ... ...pulling one open, closes the other.
The main disadvantage with it, is my daughter taught my son how to unclip his seatbelt, and he can do this if he wants to while he is in the back, I don't think it would matter what car seat you get once a child knows how to do this, the onus is on you to teach them not to do it. ...

Best base unit around
Advantages: easy to use and safe Disadvantages: none
This base is brillant!
I got mine when my son was born and it is a god send! It was so easy to put the car seat in to it and didn't have the hassle of putting the car seat belt round and through the car seat itself as it went round the base instead. The car seat clip's in to the base so very easily and it is very easy to remove the car seat from the base, all you have to do is pull a leaver on the back of the car seat an wayhey the car seat was ... ...to use as it is a great piece of kit for the constant stay in the car and the added quickness of actually putting this in the car is easy. Also the car seat will fit perfectly in to the base and you will know when it is sat in the base correctly as there is a click and you phisically can not remove the car seat from the car, once in the correct way on the base unit.
I personally would love to use this again but my son is now 2 and I do miss it, ...

Squashy seat
Advantages: Good for newborns Disadvantages: Not so good as baby grows
We were happy with this car seat when our baby was first born, it comes with extra padding for their head, which was quite useful, but as he got older and bigger we found that he was very uncomfortable, especially on journey's more than a few minutes long. He seemed to be squashed, sort of like a concertina if you like, and putting him in it with more than one layer of clothes on was almost impossible {no good if you have a winter baby as we did!} ... ...turned into a complete nightmare and something we tried to avoid! Once the seat is installed using the base it's okay, but if you try to use the alternative method {just the cars seatbelt} then you run into problems, especially if you are in a hurry, it's not something that can be done quickly! We bought the seat as part of a package with a pram, which was good value, but in hindsight we would have bought the seat seperately, and perhaps one that ...

Are we nearly there yet?
Advantages: safe, easy to install Disadvantages: sun fading
When I was expecting a baby and first looked into car seats, I had no idea quite how complicated it was, or indeed how many different models the average child would get through before a seat could be dispensed with - when I was a child seatbelts weren't even obligatory in the back. My mother, with absolutely no irony, fondly tells the tale of how someone shunted the back of their Morris Minor showering my carry cot with broken glass, which I apparently ... ...on somewhat! The law in Britain now requires children to have a car seat up to age 12 or until they are 135cm tall. When my eldest child turned 4, and realising that if she turns out as vertically challenged as I am that she would need a seat for a while, I researched and bought this particular seat, from Maxi-Cosi. Reasons for Purchase:
I chose this model as it had scored highly on the "Which" reports, and also as it had a reclining feature, ...
