...WE DECIDED TO GO TO FORDS OF WINSFORD = I had actually bought a car from them a few years ago and my husband bought his last car from them, so we were aware of the vast choice in cars available, how reasonably priced they were and knew they were a trustworthy and reputable company. Fords of Winsford won the "Which Car" award for Britain's Best Car Supermarket in 2002, 2004 and 2005. And with good reason ...
...and transit vans. Fords of Winsford do not actually sell brand new cars, but many of the vehicles for sale have a very low mileage and are always in superb condition. They tend to sell a lot of fleet cars which usually have a low mileage and it is for this reason they can afford to sell them at such reasonable prices. Advantages: None
Disadvantages: They cannot be trusted and are dishonest

...wife a Toyota Yaris from Wilsons for £6000.00 in May. It was one disaster after another. Firstly the car I bought was up on their website at £5300.00 which eventually they reluctlantly honoured after bringing it to their attention. Then they said that they could not locate the log book as they had initially had sold the car to someone else. I was told he has failed to secure the finance on the vehicle and subsequently the car came back on site. ...
...book. I was offered compensation for all this by the salesman but the so called director (Rude bitch) refused to honour this. To add insult to injury they said that they would send off all the documents to the DVLA including the part I was supposed to send off. This never happened and I was fined £40.00 by the DVLA for failing to notify them that I ghad sold the car. They also never supplied the locking wheel nuts for the car and the car was involved ...

I went to car giant with my brother in law as he recomended them to me. Personaly i found the whole process really easy. I found my car on thier web site, it had loads of pictures of the car inside and out. I went there, my brother inlaw gave it a once over, we test drove it said yes,they then prepared it ( this did take a few hours) I paid for it and drove off. BE WARY OF BULLISH SALES AND PARALLEL IMPORTS

Advantages: Can't offer any I'm afraid - good deals to be had from standard dealers at moment
Disadvantages: can't be trusted - If you like gambling they're great.

Motorpoint Glasgow - nearly duped into buying Ford Fiesta 1.4 % Door Titanium. Be very careful before you buy a new car from motorpoint. Bullish sales tactics on phone - they will reduce deposit from £500 to £300 for you - a 'special deal'. The spec of the cars they sell are no where near that of UK cars. They use parallel imports (in this case, Malta). When I asked about spec they initally said that they 'couldn't guarantee' the final specification ...

Not a good place to buy a car!

Advantages: Price of the car was cheap.
Disadvantages: It took 3 attempts to get car driving properly. Horrible customer service.

I have just bought a car from CarGiant and found it an extremely stressful and unpleasant experience. Buying a car from Car Giant is not something I would recommend that anyone does. At one stage the “customer service” people were being so unreasonable when I made a request of them that I vowed that I would share how bad my experience had been with the widest possible audience unless they at least considered my request for some sort of refund for ...
