Advantages: Large Selection of Cars to look at Disadvantages: Overpriced, Awful Finance deals, NAC warrenty Useless, Nasty Sales Guys
...car itself is exceptional, but carcraft is nasty company, that manipulates you, lies to you and will say anything to get the sale out of you.
eventually once i found the finance deal i have sold the car to pay of the finance package and i am still paying for the finance deal now! so in a few months i will be free of carcraft and its associated companys.

In my opinion the Car salesman used this to manipulate me into getting an awful finance deal and put on huge amounts of pressure to buy the car, i didn't notice at the time but i certainly relised he did afterwards!
He was saying, if i sell this car i will be on Deal or No Deal program, please buy this car etc, at one point i thought the slimmy bugger was going to go on his knees and beg me to buy the car!
myself only being 24 at the time i had no idea really about intrest rates, jsut knowing the lower the better! and being quoted intrest rates of 11% i was fairly happy that was acceptable, he also push me to a lady with large chest to talk about a guarantee package!
She basically said in her own words this guarantee is like having a warrenty on a brand new car, you wont have to worry for 4 years if you take the guarantee! so i thought, sounds excellent, no BMW repairs to worry i jsut need to service my car, Tax and MOT! So i said YES!
4 months later i was looking at some documents and i released Holy Shit my intrest rate is 22.9% i rang up my finance company saying what the hell is going on, and they said 11% i was quoted was a Flat rate % and the actual rate is 22.9%!!!!!!!!!!!
I then when driving home, the airbags on the drivers door and drivers curtain airbag activated with no apprant reason, so me thinking i had my Excellent warrenty its no problem! i rang them up and they didn't want to know, they said it was not covered!! so just think if the most vital part of your car the airbags which protect yourself and your loved ones in the car, they cannot gurantee them then what can they guarantee, oh i will tell you, they guarantee the electric window motor, oh but the damaged was classed as wear and tear so they wudn't payout!

Advantages: Big Showrooms, Choice, flexible Disadvantages: too much choice
I went into carcraft of Sheffield to purchase a car with my wife and daughter. I was meet by a customer advisor who explained the layout to me. This was really helpfull for us as the site was massive. We were then left to have a look around with no pressure. Once we found a car we took it for an extended test drive both my wife and myself drove the car. We then had some figures. I explained to Andrew that we would have to go away and think about ... ...bank) I went to site two hour later and drove my new car away. From the time i arrived back on site it took 55 minutes to get all my paperwork done. I really enjoyed the carcraft experience. Thanks very much. I never knew buying a car was so easy. ...

We had seen carcraft advertised on the telly, so thought it would be a good idea to go there. What a mistake.
As soon as we walked in the door at 2pm we had 3 salesmen approach us. I remember them saying have a good look round we won't disturb you and when your ready give us a shout.
We thought this was quite good and meant we would have no pushy salesmen hanging around us. How wrong we were.
While we were looking we had 5 of them approach ... ...deal. we did tell them that we are not buying today. They didn't seem to understand that.
Eventually we did see a car that i liked and could afford. I think it worked out at about £4.00 a week.
We spoke to one of the salesmen and asked if we could drive it away in an hour. They said that it wouldn't be a problem and started the ball rolling.
They gave us a list of insurers and a phone, which we thought was fantastic.
We gave our details to one ...

Advantages: Large range of cars available to drive away there and then, Creche facilities, cafe facilities Disadvantages: No in house finance centre, long waits after initial consultation and choice of vehicle.
I visited Carcraft at Sheffield after seeing an ad as they seemed to have a number of the type of car we were looking for.
The site is extremely large and customer parking is not well signposted but, once in the 'compound' there are lots of cars to look at. The details regarding the cars are not as good as Available Car but there are plenty of salemen around to help. So far, reasonably so good.
We saw a car we liked and approached a salesman. After ... ...our nice new car.
Carcraft throw figures at you for weekly payments but then add in payment protection and warranty cover which almost doubled the monthly payment. We were not asked if we wanted these items, they were already added into the paperwork and we would have had to hang around for another couple of hours if we had refused them!
Carcraft advertise a 1 hour drive away which they suggest you speak to their salesmen about - you acutually ...

Advantages: quality first hand information Disadvantages: listen to the mediator first
carcraft are very honest lucrative and generally interested in the customer. you only have to listen first to the sales mediator because he has your interest and future interest at heart. the problem with most buyers is that they dont want to listen because they no better. This is not true as the mediators are fully trained executives with you at the fore front of their business . Think about it? without you they have no business.
everyone can complain ... ...for you and your family. what price do you put on that?
then security dont forget one in five cars out there are stolen
and last of all affordability is the key word . i had a very good experience with car craft because i listened and did not want insecure cheap costly cars i wanted value for money for my future investment ...

We went to Carcraft at Sheffield to look for a Renault Megane after friends recommended them having been to Carcraft at Leeds. We were amazed at the wide choice available - lots and lots of cars - amazing! The sales guys were helpful and explained how the showroom display worked. We spent an hour walking around the site and found the car we were interested in. They explained the various finance options available but we were happy to pay cash. We drove away an hour later in our new car - that was quick. A reasonable experience - and a great range of cars. The only down side was the canteen! Overall we would recommend ...
