I first used this product in my uncle's office, not for his business but for fun. I mucked around and created business cards for dream business I didn't actually have. Later on though due to his computer 'illiteracy' he asked me to take a look and help him use the machine. It did take me a few goes to come anywhere near perfecting a business card, but for him the results were fine, by all means have many practice goes to create the best card possible. Smaller than you may think (have a look at the attached pictures) he Cardscan 600c is a nifty portable device, perhaps not to be used on the Inter-City train journeys necessarily but definitely moveable. Utilizing the now traditional black for computers, there's no electric blue or fiery orange colour to choose from, but that digresses from its function.

...Can't believe I have written a review about this item and then once I go back into it the following day it is no longer there… does it only happen to me? I have reported it various times but nothing seems to have been done!

Well let me say that this item is one of those inventions that definitely brings a revolution into the office, just like post-it notes!! This is what secretaries have been dreaming of while filing their nails and so, let me praise what this little gadget can do.
As its name says this is a cardscan and to be more precise a business card scanner. Although computerized business cards are widely spread the odd paper card exchanged during a meeting is an introductory ritual that can hardly be replaced. When you are an assistant and look after a team...

...For those who's business card collections occupy a 3-inch binder, insist on digitizing everything, or are just too lazy to type contact information into a personal information manager (PIM), Corex created the CardScan. Included with the scanner is an information management application and an impressive OCR (Opticle Charector Recognition) engine that converts cards' information to text. It does however some at a high price, around £240.
The mid-size unit connects to your parallel port and features a pass-through connection for your printer. During the software setup, I encountered a minor problem that I emailed to Corex's tech support. Impressively, I received a helpful response the next day.
When a card is inserted, the unit automatically scans it. You can keep feeding cards and the software will patiently save each one and wait until...
