The 600c scanner combines an ergonomic design with speed and precision. Just place a card down and it's auto-detected and pulled through for you. It exits neatly onto a translucent card catcher, not onto your desk or behind it. The card is processed in color quickly with an accuracy unsurpassed in the market. The 600c is light and sturdy enough to take with you to trade shows and it fits nicely in the palm of your hand.

...--- INTRODUCTION ---
I first used this product in my uncle's office, not for his business but for fun. I mucked around and created business cards for dream business I didn't actually have. Later on though due to his computer 'illiteracy' he asked me to take a look and help him use the machine. It did take me a few goes to come anywhere near perfecting a business card, but for him the results were fine, by all means have many practice goes to create the best card possible. Smaller than you may think (have a look at the attached pictures) he Cardscan 600c is a nifty portable device, perhaps not to be used on the Inter-City train journeys necessarily but definitely moveable. Utilizing the now traditional black for computers, there's no electric blue or fiery orange colour to choose from, but that digresses from its function.

Advantages: solid & reliable Disadvantages: bit heavy - square
...we are about to decommision a pair of them in the office after 2.5 years. they have been so reliable, and when i broke a cdr drive, compaq repalced under warrenty, no questions asked. much quieter than other models, battery still going strong. the built in wireless that comes in the lid is stuck on 11mb, so was prob a mistake to include, a pcmcia card would have been better. tons of other options available, all "in stock".
I guess we will just be repalcacing with an updated model. we hope HP have not spoiled it with thier badge :)
screen is avarage, bios and drivers are regualarly updated. the hot keys are useful, but i could have lived without them.
spare charger is half the price of a sony or toshiba....

Advantages: A clever invention Disadvantages: Expensive
...Can't believe I have written a review about this item and then once I go back into it the following day it is no longer there… does it only happen to me? I have reported it various times but nothing seems to have been done!
Oh well, what can I do… write the whole review again!! :-))
Well let me say that this item is one of those inventions that definitely brings a revolution into the office, just like post-it notes!! This is what secretaries have been dreaming of while filing their nails and so, let me praise what this little gadget can do.
As its name says this is a cardscan and to be more precise a business card scanner. Although computerized business cards are widely spread the odd paper card exchanged during a meeting is an introductory ritual that can hardly be replaced. When you are an assistant and look after a team...
