Simply feed business cards into the CardScan scanner and within seconds, the CardScan software accurately organizes all of the information into an electronic address book. Once the cards are scanned into your computer, you can use CardScan software to manage your contact information. Alternatively, you can easily get the information into the places you keep important contact information.
...For those who's business card collections occupy a 3-inch binder, insist on digitizing everything, or are just too lazy to type contact information into a personal information manager (PIM), Corex created the CardScan. Included with the scanner is an information management application and an impressive OCR (Opticle Charector Recognition) engine that converts cards' information to text. It does however some at a high price, around £240.
The mid-size unit connects to your parallel port and features a pass-through connection for your printer. During the software setup, I encountered a minor problem that I emailed to Corex's tech support. Impressively, I received a helpful response the next day.
When a card is inserted, the unit automatically scans it. You can keep feeding cards and the software will patiently save each one and wait until...

Advantages: A clever invention Disadvantages: Expensive

Advantages: easy to setup Disadvantages: wish I had got a DVB one
...I bought this card for the sole task of watching TV while surfing the internet, and for this purpose the card does its job well. I bought it from PC world about 6 months ago for £49.99.
I installed the card in my PC (normal PCI connection) and connected a normal portable indoor aerial to the card and booted up. The sotware took a while (15 mins) to fully install but it was all self explanatory and I was soon up and running. The job was to connect the audio lead from the TC tuner to my sound card. Luckily I had a spare input but check you have before you purchase.
The first time you run the Pinnacle software the cardscans for channels (takes about 3 mins) and after that you are ready to go. The interface is simple and ressembles the controls on an old non remote controlled TV. Volume and channel buttons on the control...
