Advantages: Each card is a share in the company Disadvantages: Takes a very long time to get any money back
I work for PSW Co-Op, and having read other comments about the dividend card, have to say that our dividend card is completely different.
The card can be used in any one of the 60 or so Co-Ops in South Devon; excluding Brixham - but not in any of the other SouthWest Counties. Applications cost £1, but have to be filled in instore, with two forms of photo ID present. For each £1 spent, the purchaser gets 10 points; 2400 points is worth £1 back. That roughly equates to you getting 0.04 pence back per £1 spent. When you have at least £1, you can redeem your points; but the total points redeemed is rounded up to the nearest pound. So, if your shopping cost £1.01, and you had £2 on your card, you would lose the whole £2.
There are double points weeks and you can use the car at Co-Op Homemaker etc, but when I tell customers the points ratio ...
Advantages: Clean, efficient, friendly staff Disadvantages: not enough frequency to some stations
I use the SouthWest Trains service between Salisbury and Tisbury, and Salisbury, Tisbury and London Waterloo frequently. The old diesel trains have been refurbished, and are very comfortable. They are still quite loud, but quite smooth. They are always immaculate, and punctual, and the staff are great. There is always a buffet trolley, which is well stocked and is reasonably priced. The fares are quite good as well, especially if you've got a railcard and you book in advance. The return fare from Tisbury to Salisbury is much cheaper than the bus. The only problem is frequency of the trains stopping at Tisbury, as they only stop once an hour, which can be frustrating. However, trains running every half hour to London from Salisbury is great, as it means that you never have to wait too long. ...

VFR stands for "Visual Flight Rules" - this is the way that pilots navigate when they aren't using complex instruments - they look at a map and then pinpoint landmarks on the ground to work out their position. To do this in a flight simulator requires scenery that's exactly the same as the real landscape. VFR Real Scenery is an amazing piece of software that provides just that - fly over England and Wales in Flight Simulator X and sample the view you'd get from a real aircraft. You can see the real countryside from ...
