...the second package, (6 greetings cards for £7.99 including postage), and then send them back with a note saying I did not wish to continue with the service. I think they basically count on people forgetting to cancel within the set time but I wanted to!
The first package I got arrived about a fortnight after I returned the little slip and it was really well packed to prevent damage. I got 10 greetings card, which were all nice and of very high quality. ... ...useful as I make greetings cards too so I can store them all in there.
It was so nice I decided to continue for a while and waited for the second package. It arrived a few days ago and I got 6 really nice cards, 1 christening card, 2 birthday cards, 2 blank cards and a thank you card. One of the blank cards featured Winnie the Pooh. I was really pleased again both with the selection and quality of the cards.

...idea to havea supply o cards at home, in a nice storage box.
So I decided to join "cards for all occasions".
A wonderful box appeared through the post with a small initial selection. Not exactly mind blowing, but not bad.
If you reply to the initial ofer you do usuallyget a bonus, this was a soft toy, which I received. No bad, but I'd have rather had a discount for the frst pack and then paid full price after that!
Now here's the down side...
... ...and bought 8 very similar cards for £2.00... for the lot! making "cards for all occasions" look extremely expensive.
So... and here's where the problems started.... I tried to cancel my subscription!.................
I sent a letter (also backing this up with a phone call) saying that after the next set I would like to cancel my subscription. I then received a call saying that I would have to go through the full 6 monhs subscription, something ...

I signed up to Cards For All Occasions earlier this year and although I received my welcome pack and two lots of cards I did not receive anything after June 2006 (it is now November). I have spoken to them on the telephone and they were very courteous and helpful and have now cancelled the account and then reinstated it to restart it as there was no reason why I should have stopped receiving shipments.
I was reading a review on this site by another ... ...received initially. I find the cards are of good quality and if you end up with a few you don't want you can always offer them to friends and family to use instead.
The box is sturdy and does come in useful to keep the cards in.
If you have quite a few people to get cards for I think it is a good way to keep a stock of attractive cards to hand, although I agree with the other reviewer in that there may be times you need to buy from a shop instead. ...

Beware of this company. They refuse to honour cancellations and send letters threatening legal action when you refuse to pay for cards which you did not order.
Avoid - there are much nicer and cheaper cards out there.
It's also very hard to track down where they are based. One parcel had to be returned to Guernsey, another to Finglas in Dublin - a phone call led to Kilrush, Co. Clare in Ireland. ...

Quick review of Cards for all Occasions
DO NOT GET SUCKED INTO USING THEM.. I tried them for quite some time but received numerous different parcels I didn't want I tried to cancel my account several times, but was just ignored and bombarded with more cards. Eventually after months or writting I tried Email. Guess what, this was also ignored until I told them I was contacting Trading Standards. At last account cancelled, But no. !!! More and more cards were sent, They are now threatening legal action to try and get me to pay for cards I havn't wanted or received. ...

If you live in the Islington area, then Diva on Upper Street might appeal to you. This shop is part of a chain; there are other branches in Camden Town and Richmond. However I like the Islington branch best. It is the largest Diva outlet that I know of and its low white ceiling with exotic lampshades and mobiles always make me feel like I am walking into Aladdin’s cave when I enter the shop.
The front of the shop is used to display a huge selection of cards for alloccasions. If I have a birthday or other anniversary card to buy then I always come here. I don’t want an anonymous, sickly sweet card with a soppy verse inside. I want something that suits the person and the vast choice here means that I have never gone away empty handed, although some of the more unusual cards are not cheap.

Advantages: order in the comfort of your home. You have upto three months to pay for goods, returns are easy to send back Disadvantages: None at all I can think off
The Studio catalogue has been around for years. It has sister catalogues Ace and Web Ivory ( THE CHARITY CATALOGUE). The gifts are great and suitable for all family members from the young to the old. There is cards for alloccasions, gift rap, sweets, christmas decor, toys, clothes, gagets and gizmos and loads more. They have two catalogues a year and you make commission. It works out at about £1.00 for every £4.00 spent in the catalogue. Which is really not bad at all.
I chose this catalogue as all the products are value for money and i can get great gifts for those special days all year round. I have never received anything late from them, and products can be returned easily. The quality is good considering the prices are really reasonable
I recommend this catalogue for gifts and idea's. It is a good second catalogue to ...

Tesco is just a 10 minute walk from my house so this is my local supermarket when I spend my pennies on my daily shop. As far as supermarkets go, I would actually say it's very good, especially with our current worries over the 'credit crunch'.
Tesco is very popular and is constantly advertised in the newpaper and on the TV. Because so much media attention is payed to it and so many people shop there each day, there must be something good about this place! What's great is that it's such a huge retail chain that you'll find a outlet in most towns :)
