Mystery Shoppers Ltd
Review of Mystery Shopping by SJSmith71

Advantages: Shows a potential manager how NOT to treat customers.
Disadvantages: Don't deliver what they promise, then punish the client for their mistakes.

I am registered with three mystery shopping companies and would like to warn people of my first (and last) experience of one of them. Last week I received a request from Mystery Shoppers Ltd to go into town, look for a temporary AXA stand and spend 15 minutes taking out life insurance, which I would then cancel and be sent £15. I spent 20 minutes looking for the stand, money on a phone call to Mystery Shoppers and 15 minutes waiting for a reply. ...
...I'd be sent £10. I sent my claim form with a letter explaining that this was their fault and had spent much longer on the task than promised, so deserve £15. I have just received a cheque for £10, with no reference to my letter. Their own breach of contract is appalling, and their ignorance and arrogance disgusting. Please register instead with one of the many other companes. ... Read review

My daily tonic.
Review of Health Care Assistant by headcase44

Advantages: Giving and receiving as much as possible in each day.
Disadvantages: Mountains of paperwork, training and unrealistic wages.

My job is very similar except for the fact that I work in a private care home and I work with residents with disabilites or learning diffculties. The day starts at 8am with a cup of coffee and a hand over from the night carer. It is then all systems go with showers, followed by breakfast and laundry distribution to appropriate rooms. I then clear away breakfast dishes and check all residents to make sure that they have everything they need to go ...
...box, money, and spare underwear ! I drive certain residents to the centre and check them in and safely hand them over to the staff. I then return to the home where the real work starts. All rooms have to be cleaned, bed linen changed if needed and sufficient towels ,loo rolls, and toiletries in the room for when the resident returns. In between rooms the laundry has to be kept up to date and the halls, sitting room and bedrooms are vacumed. Now it ... Read review

The best job in the world!
Review of Teaching by tartlette83

Advantages: Variety, holidays, job satisfaction
Disadvantages: Loss of social life, tiredness

...long review! BACKGROUND: Teaching wasn't something that I wanted to do. When I was younger I wanted to be a solicitor because that's what my Dad did. When it came to applying for university I really couldn't face the thought of studying law for three years so decided to do my degree in History (my passion in life - no jokes thank you very much!). I always thought that I'd carry on with the law stuff after my degree. However, by the time I was ...
...A few people had suggested teaching to me in the past but it was never something that I'd taken too seriously. No one was any help - 'do what you want' - ARGH!!! I phoned my best friend in turmoil and she said that she could really see me as a teacher and thought I would be really good at it. I decided that I would go for it. My decision was based mainly on the fact that I loved History so much and thought it would be great to work around it every ... Read review
