We want YOU...........
Review of Film Extra by libragirl

Advantages: Meeting the *stars* and being paid for the privelige
Disadvantages: Can be very boring and monotonous

...I just love being a Film and TV extra. (Actually, I believe we are now know as 'supporting actors/actresses) lol! Ok, I am here to tell you all about the Film and TV Extras Agency I work for (well, actually, I suppose they work for me...lol)! Last October I was talking to someone in a chat room who told me that they worked as an extra. Acting is something that I have always been interested in, so I got them to give me more details. The Agency is ...
...a definite need for a film and tv extras agency. Well think about it - where do you think all the 'passers by' and postmen come from that you see in Corrie or Eastenders as well as all the tv adverts and films? I contacted the Agency and they invited me along to an 'Interview' the following month. (United Casting only recruits new members twice a year - November and June). I didn't know what to expect but I was put at ease as soon as I walked through ... Read review

Forktruck Training
Review of Fork Lift Operating by sleepi80

Advantages: Helps improve awareness of surroundings and safety
Disadvantages: there aren't

I work for a Fork Truck firm and encounter users on a day to day basis who cannot drive a forklift truck properly. A lot of people think its easy to drive a fork lift truck, but believe me its not. Fork lift trucks drive from back and not from the front, which makes life a little bit differcult if you are not used to it. I do not hold a Fork truck license, but i do use them on a day to day basis. Learning how to lift, and place pallets is a very ...
...that you learn to drive a forklift truck correctly, if you do not then not only do you put your life at risk but you also put anyone else around you. When a truck tips believe me if it lands on you then the likely hood of you dying is fairly high. ... Read review

So you want to be a midwife
Review of Midwifery by Helenofellon

Advantages: A welcome guest at the start of a new life
Disadvantages: Long hours, staff shortages

...order to think about a midwifery career. 1. Excellent people skills; You will provide professional support and reassurance to women from a variety of backgrounds and cultures, during a most emotionally and intense time. 2. Good communication skills; This is a very important part of the midwives’ role, you are not only communicating with other health professionals, but you must be able to listen to women and ensure their full understanding of ...

Join the Royal Navy and see the world....
Review of Armed Forces by backstreetwoman

Advantages: A fantastic career
Disadvantages: None, none, none

...fully fledged member of the Armed Force from those who just wanted to 'see what it was like.' We didn't wear the full uniform at this stage, just casuals given to us by Stores. We were really the lowest of the low to some of the Leading Wrens there and a couple of these were not particularly nice girls. We went to classes each day and as I mentioned before, we would spend time cleaning our shoes - properly. This meant spending ages rubbing on shoe ...
...the Navy, as in any Armed Force I should imagine, everyone bonds and lasting friendships are made. We slept in long ‘nissan huts,’ 10 to a room, which was called our Mess, although we were not allowed to keep it in a mess! There were no duvets around this time, simply sheets, blankets and a bed cover with an anchor on it. We had to make our beds the ‘proper’ way, i.e. folding the sheets and blankets envelope fashion as nurses ... Read review

...of the role of a Recruitment Consultant from a man that has been doing this role for years. In virtually all towns in the UK, you will find a recruitment agency. The most common are Reed, Adecco, Manpower, Brook Street and, the one I work for, Randstad. These agencies are populated by Consultants sat behind desks, who are specialists in their marketplace and job groupings. This review will primarily concentrate on how a Recruitment Consultant from ...
...Consultants at different types of recruitment companies. Premise of the job A Recruitment Consultant exists to provide a service to a job-seeker looking for work and an employer looking to recruit a quality worker for their team. For the Consultant who takes their job seriously, the science behind finding a candidate their ideal job, and resourcing the ideal worker for an employer is a challenging one, and one which they have to ...
