I usually use liquid soaps in the kitchen and bathroom as I suppose most people do these days. I tend to just buy whichever soaps are on the best offers or cheapest when I run out and most recently... more

I live in a flat with 3 other friends, and hand wash is one thing we always seem to be running out of. As a result, whenever I see a hand wash on offer, I pick up a bottle or two. I'm not entirely sure, but I think I purchased this from Boots for £1 (I definitely didn't pay more). Carex Carex is a brand well known for its hand hygiene products-hand wash, hand gel and hand wipes- along with a few bath and shower products. I always have a bottle of Carex hand gel in my bag and have used their hand washes in the past and always found them to be of a good quality, so I knew I wouldn't be ... more

Advantages Advantages Washes my hands well, smells lovely, good value

Disadvantages Disadvantages Only the pump top not being resealable but I'm being very picky

Handwash is one of those products that I'm not particularly brand loyal with. At home we have decorative pump dispensers at all of our sinks so I usually buy whatever's on offer and decant the wash into the pretty bottles. The only stipulation for me is that it has to be blue...if I tell you why, do you promise not to grass me up?! Well, in the downstairs loo I have a Molton Brown handwash bottle. It's a long time since there was actually Molton Brown handwash in (a lovely Christmas present from my cousin) but none of my guests know that, they all think I'm a pretty generous host. But I'm not ... more

    Advantages Advantages cleans well, scent

Disadvantages Disadvantages lack of moisturising qualities

Everyone knows the importance of keeping your hands clean and germ free which is why whenever I buy hand wash I always make sure it is antibacterial. I do not tend to be brand loyal towards these products so when I saw that the carex products were on offer I decided to give them a go. About the product The carex antibacterial hand wash has been developed to kill 99.9% of bacterial and 3 times faster. As someone who gets a bit paranoid about germs especially when I’m cooking this sounded perfect. The product also claims to have added moisturisers and to support skins natural antibacterial ... more

My four year old daughter has an obsession with her hands being clean so much so that as a baby she wouldn't eat finger foods as she hated her hands being messy add to this this husband that has permanent black hands no matter what he is doing and we end up using a fair amount of hand wash in our house. I like to buy a good make of hand wash as I just don't like to trust the cheaper brands with something so important and so I watch out for it when it is on offer, this hand wash usually costs £1.60 for 250mls although you can buy a refill for £1.10 but I managed to get it on offer at £1. I like both liquid soap and bar soap. I tend to keep a liquid hand wash in my downstairs toilet and bar soap in my bathroom. A quick wash of the hands is all that's usually needed in my downstairs toilet (unless I dislocate my knee again and it turns into my bathroom!), so liquid soap is the soap of choice due to the quickness and easiness of it. The soap we are using at the moment is Carex Original Handwash. Carex handwash The hand wash comes in a clear plastic bottle with a pump dispenser. This makes it easy to see how much of the light blue liquid soap is left. The label on the front of the ... more
